Civilization 1 all the way baby! And not to forget Prince of Persia (original version!), and the first Pong! The Commander Keen series is awsome as well

I am relatively certain I already did.

*points to the first post I made in the thread*

At any rate Beoulve, you can open our eyes to new horizons in gaming with out shooting down items on another post. This thread was intended for people to list games they thought were must plays, not to degrade other peoples selections.

Anyways also:

Revenant (a pleasant little diversion from time to time)
Sly Cooper
Castlevania: Symphony of Night
FFVI or III depending on where you got it.
Chrono Trigger (short, but impressive for it's era.)
Deus Ex - just because it's different and I feel like mentioning it.

I remember this game well. Made it to the near-end, and accidently saved on a death

spiritwarrior - without knowing what kinds of games you like, it's hard to personalise a recommendation. however, as someone who like rpg's, my 3 favourites would be wizardry 8 (best overall), arcanum (nostalgia), and divine divinity (hack and slash).

outside rpg's, i like strategy. alpha centauri and civ 3 are both solid choices. and of course you can always play a little chess

i'd also like to voice my support (though i'm sure he doesnt need it) for Beoulve for stating his opinion about a game he didnt enjoy. expressing that opinion just may save someone the disappointment of spending money or time on something that's not to their liking.

It's from the Transformers movie. He was a judge, jury and executioner on the planet where the Sharkticons lived and he sentenced Hot Rod and Kup to death but they convinced the Sharkticons to kill him after the Dinobots attacked them.

But back to the original topic, if you own an XBox you should definitely get Knights of the Old Republic if you don't already have it.

Chrono Trigger is a must play along with FFIII or VI.

Baldur's Gate... the game that started it all in my opinion for the DnD world...

Warcraft II... it's a bonafide classic... along with the recent Warcraft III and its expansion

Diablo and its Sequel

other than that I have to think... oh yeah... Secret of Mana..
