Yes! I posted about this game over in the W&W forum on this site. W&W as well as Ultima 7 are two of my all-time favorite games.

Divine Divinity is a *must* buy for any CRPG fan. It is an absolutely wonderful game!!!

Divine Divinity
This is my review of Divine Divinity

When i first saw some screenshots of this game awhile ago i tought this"oh no please do not make more silly Diablo/BG clones,we already have enough of them"even tough the screenshots looked nice i had my suspisions that this game is going to be average or worse but this game tok me by suprise.

The graphics in this CRPG is very good at least for a 2d game.
Some people swear only to 3d graphics in games so they can zoom in and out and many look on 2d graphic to be old and flat and yes 2d graphics is old but it is still very nice when the right people is behind it and Divine Divinity is doing just that, the 2d graphics in this game beats all the previous 2d CRPG games so far.

When you ventures trough the landscapes of Divinity you will se plenty of beutiful forest covered with rich plantlife, grass, animals and even insects.
You will come across towns, castles, dungeons and graveyards and much much more and they are all graphical well made and designed, you have details as mirror reflection in water, flag that are moving in the wind, good quality shadows on all creatures and objects and real fog on the ground.

The music in this little or shall i say large?gem of a game is some of the best if not the best that i have heard in any game.Yes even compared to games like BG,IWD and Morrowind and it fits the game perfectly, not to noisy and not to minimal it always fits the mood wherever you are to create an unbelivable atmosphere.

Sound effect are all that it should be and more, sounds of combat and monsters screams, steel meeting steel and so on is very well made. When you walk or run through the forest of Divinity you hear birds singing and when the night comes it changes to owls and other night creatures.Go to a bar and you will hear the sound of people talking and drinking, you will hear crystalclear rainsound and thunder when it rains.
The quality on the voice acting sounds is not the best that i have heard(but not the worst either but they do their job so i will not let this draw the overall sound score much down.

Gameplay is always the most important thing and specially for CRPG genre and yes this game have a magical godly good gameplay.

Shall i compare the gameplay in this game to other games then i would say that this is a mix beetween BG(the richness,depth,diary/quest system)Diablo2(interface,style of fighting/moving,skillsystem)Morrowind(nonlinear,details like using your enviroment)and of course Ultima 7 this game blends it in perfectly.
The game is big, very big and most of the loading in this game is streaming the only load time is between the changing of main maps and these maps are HUGE.
The game got an icredible attention to details and atmosphere witch all helps to enchant the gameplay futher, there are plenty of quest everywhere and you can do them whenever you want.
The underworld parts in this game is also worth a notice, they resembles alot to diablo with the same intense atmosphere, its creapy and scary to say the least.
The only minus that i can se here is the lack of multiplayer and that is a real shame but even so i will give it top score here.

Summary:

Seldom have i played a CRPG game as good as this,it reminds me of the good old days when i played Ultima 7 and Ultima 7 part 2,the game have its attention to details even tough you cant make bread and fish for food here you also have the atmosphere and the freedom.
It is in gloryous 2d and it do everyting right when it comes to the visual graphics and animations.
The sounds are also great and the music is done to perfection.
The interface is also good in this game and you have plenty off option when it comes to binding keys and shortcuts.

When we come to bugs then i cant say i saw some(besides some minor graphical flaws)and that is really great for a game of this size *Note*this game was tested only with the 1.31 patch.

This is the score that i will give :
+a huge detailed living world
+nonlinear gameplay
+brilliant graphics,sound effects and music
+unbelivable atmosphere
+great diary system
+it have the famous"come back for more" factor
+good keyboard shortcuts
+very few bugs

-voice acting is not the greatest
-no multiplayer

Graphics 9/10
Audio 9/10
Gameplay 10/10
Overrall 9/10

This game was tested on this system : P3-866mhz,512mbram,geforce3 128mb,80gb hd and it runs very well with all graphics turned on and max resulution(1024*768)

Congratulation and thanks Larian Studios for making this pure gem of a game

Thanks, I'll make certain to check it out. But do you have any information on the resources needed for this game? Maybe I'm still able to play it on my prehistorical system for the time being... Still have to wait a few more days for the new computer.
From the official FAQ:

The minimum specs to be able to play the game well are a PII 450Mhz with 128Mb of RAM, 8MB of video memory, a 4X speed CDROM drive, a 100% Directsound compatible soundcard, and 1.7GB free HDD space

The abovementioned FAQ is worth checking out, albeit it has not been updated after the release
[/QUOTE]Cool, I can play it! Morrowind is just too rich for my computer.

Well I have to say that Megabot hit the nail on the head! Every day I play this I become more & more lost in the game. As far as game play and graphics its better than BG1 and blows Diablo away, there is alot more to this game than Diablo ever had, better weapons better armor and better magic. those of you that like to play the Thief will love that charactor with powerful traps and back stab is excelent and the poisen arrows work like poisen arrows should.
if you have the $39.00 go buy this game or get somebody to give it to you for Christmas. You'll love it!
