Bah, I can jump and run places my horse would have nightmares to reach!
Though I prefer to go with nimble characters and have high in both acrobatics and athletcis. Acrobatics is one of the most important skills if you don't have levitate, a lesson from Morrowind.

just dont get on them if you hate them so much. wont dont you just ignored them. i ride a horse while adventuring, but that's it. theyre really have no purpose since you cant attack on top of them. sometimes, when it pissed me off, i just kill it. you should try that sometimes. it really helps.
