sounds like you had an install bug there oru. don't know what to tell you. ogrim titans are supposed to be stronger than normal ogrim, and are supposed to go into grand soul gems, i know, i wasted one that way.

And the problem with Morrowind is that the skill system is exploited: people jump all of the time when travelling somewhere, while this is not the intention of the game. This makes it unrealistic as well!! Don't forget that!

My 2c on realism, just for the records:

I want realism in the sense of the word that the game behaves somewhat realistic. Yes, I want to be able to defeat a much more powerful foe and become a half-god, but I also want it to be believable and 'realistic'. I also want to fight monsters and dragons and whatnot, but I want them to behave as I expect them to behave if they existed. They should also make sense in their specific setting, any thing else would probably just be bizarre, IMHO.

But this is a bit off-topic.

Well I agree in part, although you're still using your skills, which should count towards getting better at them. There is disincentive to doing that though - you lose a lot of stamina jumping, plus it's really annoying. I can't stand it, which is why my acrobatics is still 26 . However, I think using skills in a more difficult way should count a bit more and using them in a cheesy way. I shouldn't be able to make a spell and call it 'conjuration practice' (I also have one called 'destruction practice' - I feel so pathetic ) and get as many skill points casting it as when I cast a real spell that has a chance of failing and I would actually be able to use in a real situation.

I always jump, because you'll be a lot faster. I was running and jumping from point A to point B the other day, and decided to stop and see what was behind me. There were 7 or 8 Cliffracers chasing me, but they couldn't catch up with me (speed 100, acrobatics currently 87), only when i stopped to look around they caught up with me. When in Vivec i jump from the highest levels of the cantons to the lower levels without thinking twice, or from the foreign quarter all the way to the other side of the river where the Silt Strider is. Jumping makes your life so much easier in Morrowind.
