Rich merchants? - Page 3

The buy, sleep, sell routine does detract from the roleplaying aspect of the game. Not to mention being incredibly annoying. It will work fine for a while (especially with items <10k) but sooner or later you're gonna earn some REAL gear. And the un-modded merchants just can't buy your $150,000 sword without the circus act.

I can sorta see why the designers chose to do it this way, but c'mon, shouldn't there be someone in one of those big, powerful organisations in Vvardenfell that can afford it? There should be private collectors and whatnots that would wet their pants to get hold of some of your loot.

On the plus side, you don't actually need to be rich to get by in the game. Following the main quest should see you with a horde of modestly valuable items that can be sold for *ahem* drastically reduced prices. I never had to buy any of those super expensive items or services - i found all i could ever use and more simply by following the quest. Having said that, there are a lot of good mods floating around that let you become rich if you want to. Although i am still looking for one that blends in with the roleplaying side of things.

Some people need to get lots of money because they want to raise their skills thorugh training with master teachers. That will take lots of money.
