"Summon something or what not and have it attack them..." said Ivan searching around in his bag, looking for possible componants to the toxin. "Allies... Bah... I'll animate some undead or something..."

"Ah but i've already summoned a scout... My familiar has been by my side this entire time... and now I shall send him forth..." The genasai said pointing into the trees. The shadow below him started to squirm and stretch until it became its own seperate shadow, apart from his own, and it traveled slowly across the ground...

"It will ensnare any snoopy fools who may be laying in wait in the forest... for now... I shall open a small portal to the castle..."

Gus waved his hands and a large golden ring appeared with a dark cloudy mist erupting from it, he stepped in and vanished... all at once, he was back at the palace, standing in his room, the room where he'd spent the night, which was most familiar to him...

"Now I've got to find a guard..." He thought, leaving the portal behind him, free for Ivan or anyone else to pass through at their will."I'll also have to tell them to guard that door incase anyone who wasn't Ivan or... oh yeah... That insect fellow might be out there still too... well I hope he has the best of luck... I'll tell the guards to keep an eye out for him coming through the door too" He set off to find someone in the pallace to tell them about what had happened to the others.

Gus found a gaurd, who listened wide eyed and took off to find one of the advisors. Sylquis was busy, but the Head Mage came and contacted Gus right away.

"This is deadly serious." The middle-aged man pondered a moment, "I'm afraid we can't do much to help. His Highness left us with strict instructions not to diminish the defenses of our captial should the enemy try anything while they are absent." He frowned, "I am surprised Matron Alliene hasnt heard of this yet. Have you contacted her?" Then he remembered they couldnt, "Oh, silly of me. She would be the best allie now. Her Majesty has a mirror in her room that she uses to contact her Aunt. I suggest you use that."

Gus proceeded to the room with the mirror, reminding guards to keep watch of the portal and to send someone to get Ivan and possibly Xvim...

A guard left and brought back Ivan and a relucant Xvim...

Meanwhile, as Gus used the mirror, an annoyed Alliene appeared in it. She looked surprised at seeing him,
"Gus isn't it? What are you doing here...What has happened to the twins?" By the time he was doing telling her, she was gripping Nizzre so hard her black knuckles had turned white, and she seemed to be radiating a godly fury. "Meet me back at the edge of the forest in two hours." She said in a tight voice, then winked out of the mirror.

As the strange creature disappeared a stone landed by the foot of the gnome, when he looked where it came from he saw Xvim's head for a moment before the Kreen disappeared again, the Kreen meanwhile had readied her Chatkcha, crystalline boomerang-like weapons designed for Thri-Kreen hands.

Gus immediatley headed to the edge of the forest to meet up with her. He decided to close up the portal after hearing that Xvim and Ivan had crossed through it and were in the castle. He was anxiouse to tell Alliene about what had happened...

When the three stepped through the portal to the forest, they were taken aback by what they saw. It was still midday, but a perpetual darkness hung over the entire area. Hundreds of drow warriors were gathered, all looking grim and battle ready. Alliene was there, along with a sick-but-strong looking Avalon.

"You realise I take a risk at helping you." Alliene told him when she spotted him, "This could be just what the dead house wants. Have me take more than half my forces from my home, lowering its defences. Making it open to attack." She pursed her lips breifly before continuing, "I'm not familiar with this place they were taken to. What were you planning on doing to save them?"

"The plan is to start a suprise attack at night, it will invoulve the bombardment of the city with fire, then your forces will go in, One of your men will come back to me with the heart of one of the human enemies of the city, bring it to me, and I will utelize it to cast a spell to strenghten our forces, Ivan here will then attack the city with toxic explosives, to which I will forge a barrier around your forces, making the air impenetrable to the gas, before this attack occurs, a small ammount of your men, including Xvim here, will travel intot he back of the city through my portal, whlie the troops are brought to the front to defend, you will seige the castle directly and get the half dragons and their freinds back. Ivan will keep track of you via telescope, and will fire a signal flare to begin bombardment, this will result in my utelizing the barrier and the gas will rain down, My familiar will also go with the small party and tell you of any dangers and traps that may lay ahead. Once you're out and the city is in chaos, we will regroup here, pass through a portal back to the pallace and hopefull we'll be sucessfull. If anything should happen, I will not hesitate to assault the city with a tempest. You can be the judge of how the attack will carry out. I am unfamiliar too, but I know that any well defended territory will send most of its troops to where most of the attacking forces are..." Gus stopped pacing while describing his strategy Then looked at Ivan. "Do you have anything to add Ivan? ... Xvim?" he said then turning to Xvim.

At the mention of cutting out the human's heart, many of the drow grinned wickedly. One particularly good-looking male with pure white hair to his neck stepped forward and bowed low to Alliene,
"Matron, I would be honored if you would give me the task of fetching a human's heart."
Alliene seemed to frown, "Of course you may, Zennen. I would have chosen you anyway. You will stay back with the void mage and I until he tells you to go fetch the heart, then you'll bring it back to him. Understand?"
Zennen nodded and kept his satisfied smile from being seen from the other drow, "Perfectly, Matron." He straightened and took a few steps back to stand behind and slightly to the side of Alliene.

"Your familiar will accompany mine." Alliene told Gus, and Zachana hopped off her shoulder and shifted to human form. "You will lead the raiding party, Zach. If you think there's something dangerous about to happen, you know what to do."
The dragon nodded, her knee-length hair swaying, "Of course, my lady. I will go pick out the team now." The dragon left to do so, and Alliene turned back to Gus, "Anything else? I will of course be supplying spells, if they are needed."
