Shadow closes the door to his office and turns to the goblins that await his attention. "Ok keep me up to date, what is happening?"

"Well master, Starshadow seems to be redecorating. There are alot of art and valuables thrown outside his room, he has also changed the lock to his door. Elias is still at the bar. Skye is still lost in the castle. Starshadow, Ja'mar and Ferron all seem to be holding a little meeting in the dining room and Heartless has arrived sir."

"Very well. Send some goblins to clean up the mess outside of Starshadow's quarters, also make a casting of his lock and make a new key while he is not there. Keep one of your men listening to what they are saying in the dining room and perhaps if you get a chance bring Skye and heartless here. that will be all."

... A short time later outside of Shadow's room.

"And what is your name little fellow? A bit ugly, aren't we? No, but I'm sure you're quite the handsome gentleman in your family, aren't you?"

Heartless leans over and pats the ugly goblin on his little dented helmet.

"Now won't you be a dear and tell your master that I"m here before I slice you in half?"

"There's a good goblin."

Starshadow nodded at Ja'mar. "Yes, of course," he replied. "And you will have both. The guild gives to those that give. To put it in other terms: if you help others of the guild fulfill their goals, you will get help fulfilling yours." He turned to Ferron. "And you?"

As he was talking, he could feel eyes upon him. He was not stupid, and had positioned himself so he could see the entrances to the room. He could not see the person spying on him, but he knew a presence when he felt one. A very soft swishing sound caught his attention, and he caught a glimpse of a leg and a dagger near one of the entryways. "These Elven ears catch all," he thought. "Else I wouldn't still be alive today."

He wondered if these two here and the one that had been listening were swallowing his words. "These fools probably do not know the first thing about teamwork. Of course, if our leader is a fool, they'll have all the more reason not to want to work for the guild. Better to plant the seeds than to not be ready if the time comes. I will get what I want."

Shadow opens the door and greets Heartless.
"Your room is 2 doors from the kitchen, don't take the first door else you will end up in part of the dungeon."
He throws her the key.

"The dungeon? Well, this place holds its promises doesn't it?"

"If its alright with your worship, I think I'll move my things down there. Yelling and screaming can only improve one's sleep, you know."

And with that, Heartless flashes Shadow a sly wink and saunters off with her feline friend.

"I've heard the secret to these things involves using dull spikes rather than sharp ones," she said to no one in particular. "They hurt more going in, I think."

Heartless was examining an iron maiden near the entrance of the dungeon. It would make an excellent centerpiece to her living room. She carefully began to brush away the cobwebs and years of neglect.

She was beginning to like this castle -- even if she hadn't yet christened the place with a homicide.

OOC: Starshadow, would you happen to know how long it usually is before new members are issued a password at the SSSB site? I posted this question in another thread but was told you might see it here. Thanks.

OOC>>>Excuse my interuption...I have deleted Dagorian's posts, because I was asked to by your membership. He is not a member of your clan, and appeared to be making trouble. I would suggest that you label this thread as a clan-only thread...especially in the title. On the first page or something, make sure you say that only players serious about being active in this clan are accepted. It might save you the headache of trouble, and me the time to fix it all.
