The Elves Vs Dwarves Battle - Page 3

OOC: we are going by traditional Elves and Dwarves, no giant elves with arms as big as tree trunks and I wont make a tall dwarf with a high dex who can wield a longbow with great skill!

IC: Dagorion is now quite annoyed at the rest of his Chefs getting killed. But let’s out a great laugh when the elves try to smoke them out. Rallying his army he leads them out through the exits that open behind the elves and leads a charge at their back that demolishes their camp and supplies and devastates their archers.

Shadow yells "Strategic retreat."
The elves spin and fall back behind the wall of flames.
They then re-organise themselves for a counter-attack.
Shadow wonders which tree in the forest, that the dwarves just charged out of, Talthus is in.

IC: Dagorion calls for his army to retreat to neer the caves. Callign over his generals he orders the forest lit alight. 30 minutes later Dagorion is standing with arms folded across his massive cheast admiring the blazing forest and the maving torches that were the elves... Dagorion rejoices in the fact that he burnt the elves AND removed the ugly forest from his lands. He now had the only forest-free Dwarven area in a thousand leagues.

EDIT: damn that sig...

Shadow signals for a group of mages to come forward, they start chanting and soon the dwarves caves crumble to the ground.

Now we have a forest and cave/tunnel free area for a thousand leagues.

Dagorion laughs at Shadows futile attempt at killing them with magic that every smart Dwarf knows doesn’t exist. Charging unfettered at the burning elven army the Dwarves cut down the survivors and kill all the mages.

OOC: Sorry about being so harsh Talthus. Its ok for you to use that character, the elves will need a proper fighter if they ever hope to succeed

As Dagorian leads the charge, the Battlerager, Knuckles fianlly snaps out of his rage, and realises that there are only two or three surviors from his legion of berserkers, and those few are still engaged in ripping into trees, punching, swinging and he notes with some glee, even chewing through the trees, as his own tree had several large and prominent bite marks, several hundred paces back in the burning wood (It hasn't gotten this far yet)are the smoldering corpses of elves that got in his legions way, when the dwarves ran out of foes, he reasoned, they must have carried the fight directly to the trees, he slaps his men until they come out of their hazy rage, and tells them it's time to rejoin the main army, after all, every dwarf knows it's more fun to chop down elves like kindling, than to chop kindling like elves (read, limp wristed), and he charges through the smoke and reunites with Dagorian, celebrating their victory over the cowardly elves who keep trying to use non-existant magic, then wondering why it's not working

Dagorion sees the Battlerager emerging from the smoke and his heart fills with pride. Placing Shadows severed head on a steak outside his tent Dagorion invites Morgeruat into the newly re-made dining tent and proceeds to get more drunk then any Dwarf thought possible.

DWARVES SHALL ALLWAYS BE VICTORIUS AGAINST THAT ELVES!!!!

on the horizon anyone not engaged in battle sees a tall figure quietly watching the slaughter. the creature is definately not dwarvin, but it surely can't be an elf! lean and muscular, standing about 6'7" she is nothing the dwarves are sure, but some conjured magic to scare them. or make them die of laughter! instead of hair she has a lions mane and even the ears. a second look tells you what you thought was a peice of tattered clothing hanging from her back is truly a tail. her right leg seems to be made of wood, but it's not a prosthetic leg, it has small vines and leaves curling from it. you know when she has decided to enter the battle as she prepares her two longswords. any dwarf taking note sees that one is wooden...this is surely a joke! she charges down into the war....

OCC: erilyn is a darksun elf who has run into some trouble first caused by a wand of wonder (i launched 1 too many fireballs in melee with it), then by a dwarf who had been given a wand by a genie (this dwarf was quite off his rocker and hated me, imagine that), then a magic golem, and most recently halflings (that's where the wood leg and sword come in.) her mane. tail, and lion ears are all typical shapes and colors of the lion, her eyes are as well.

IC: as she enters her first fray it is obvious she is a master with her longswords, and is most definately not an illusion!

Calaethis grinned wickedly and unleased several ranger traps that he'd had his men place, forest traps; the stupid dwarves rushed the elves, and were impaled on the forest trap spikes, the pit falls, the rolling spiked logs, and all maner of evil trap... enchanted with explosive magic, the traps ripped though the advancing dwarven army... then Calaethis ordered the elven archers to rain down arrows of fire and destruction on the dwarves, before reporting to his commander (shadow)

IC: Dagorion races out of the tent obviously half drunk and sees that the fight had started up again. Seeing the forest traps he wanders how they still worked even after the forest was ashes. The biggest surprise was yet to come it seemed as the giant elf that looked like it had been beaten with an ugly stick as a baby raced into battle, at this point Dagorion would have entered the fray but what too busy laughing at the giant elf.

Edit: I will have to do something about that sig...
