at the same day when Hans and Gretel met LRRH and so on..
an ogre with tremendous power and stealth stole an imprtant urn from an illithid city and fled to the forests. he accidentally fell and the urn broke. black dust came out from the urn and an evil necromancer appeared also. with an easy voice, he said:" ahh, free atlast! tell me, ogre, how long was i imprisoned?" the ogre answered :"i don`t know! i just took the urn!i didn`t mean to cause trouble!" the evil necromancer said:" oh, you didn`t do anything wrong!everything is just as i wanted! Now, i will have my throne and claim my rightful place as master, for i am Jonathan, master of necromancy!"(now i don`t have to say the foul necromancer anymore! whee!) the ogre is a bit confused and says:"please, don`t kill me! i want to go back home!" and starts walking away from Jonathan. Jonathan screams:"No! you will make me my throne while i try to get used to my spellcasting abilities!" he summons a couple of demons, puts a permanent domination spell on the ogre and continues:" take these demons with you and find human bones for my throne!" the ogre and demons go away and jonathan tests his powerful spells. then, a few hours later, the ogre and his company meet Marduk(try not to kill the ogre, if you don`t ignore this post) |

(To Tiamat: I'm adding a little something to the history of Tiamat-World now!)
Among the many races of Tiamat-World (formerly Alenusia) were a unique race of winged humans. Not very advanced in technology (being roughly midway between the Orrak Druids and the Illithid), they nevertheless possessed remarkable powers which enabled them to hold their own against the most advanced technology other races could or might use against them. It is difficult to ascertain the nature of their powers; while obviously not technological by nature, those powers could not really be characterised as sorcerous by nature, either. They seemed more like a hitherto unknown form of psionics, set in motion through what to all appearances looked like praying. Perhaps the powers resided in the brains of the winged men themselves and the 'prayer' was merely a means of activating the powers, or perhaps alternatively the winged men really did call upon some higher being of unknown nature which was the source of those powers; to date, no one knows for sure. Generally benign and deeply religious in temperament, the winged men lived in peaceful coexistence with the other races of Alenusia, and made a critical contribution to the overthrowing of the alien invaders. Nevertheless, with the dramatic alteration in climate following the crashing of the mother-cruiser into the planet Alenusia, and faced with now hostile neighbors all competing for dwindling resources, the climate-sensitive winged humans found it increasingly difficult to survive on the surface of the planet and were forced to build a sky-fortress which is now their home, held high above the clouds by the same mysterious powers they possessed. ************************************************** Hansel and Gretel looked ay each other for a moment, then turned to look at the winged stranger and at Little Red Riding Hood. "...All right, Mr Mar-dook," said Hansel sheepishly. Then suddenly an ogre appeared from behind a large rock nearby, coming towards them and followed by two evil-looking creatures with bat wings and horns on their heads. The two creatures were all blood-red in color, and had real ugly faces with fangs sticking out of their mouths. "See?" cried LRRH, pointing at the ogre. "That's one of the funny people I told you about!" Marduk could sense that the three were not friendly. "Who are you, friends? What do you want?" "I'm looking for human bones for my master's throne," replied the ogre. "It looks like those children's bones would suit his purpose." When the three children heard this, they were terrified and quickly ran behind Marduk. "Oh, please, uncle Mar-dook!" cried Gretel. "Don't let those bad people catch us!" "Have no fear, children," said Marduk, spreading his wings to shield them. "With me here, you are safe." "Let's put that rather arrogant hypothesis of yours to the test, friend," sneered the ogre. Marduk was about to answer back, but something about the ogre's voice struck Marduk. It seemed that the ogre somehow wasn't quite himself. Was he under some kind of spell? Then the ogre took out a shotgun and began to fire! The demons also began to attack, spitting balls of flame. Marduk quickly clapped his palms together as if in a prayer, and a power shield materialised out of thin air like a scroll of light being rolled open, intercepting the space between him and the incoming missiles. Judging from the dramatic explosion of the fireballs as they struck the shield, they must have been extremely powerful. "Uncle Mar-dook is so good!" cried LRRH happily. Marduk raised his right palm as if to catch something dropping from the sky, while still holding his left before his chest as if in a prayer. Then he uttered a word. There was a deafening thunderclap and the shockwave caused the ogre and the demons to tumble back several paces. The demons were dashed against the large rock and vanished; two smoking depressions bearing their outlines were left in the rock. A green haze crackled artound the ogre's head before dispersing into nothingness. Marduk recognised from this that a spell had indeed been cast on the ogre -- and had been broken by the thunderclap. "...oh, what happened?" muttered the ogre as he recovered from the shock. "You have been under a spell, friend," said Marduk as he walked to the ogre and helped him up. "Explain yourself."

Marduk nodded. "Where did you get that urn from?" he pursued. "And what special significance did the urn have?"

ogre:"I dunno! the urn was on an altar when i took it and it had some runes on it. it seemed very valuable so i stole it and ran into the forests."
Jonathan saw all of this from a light blue coloured sphere that he accidentally summoned when he was testing spells."Bah! i shouldn`t have given such a task to someone so incompetent!" Jonathan mumbles some words in an ancient language and summons a dark creature with a blood red colour."ahh, yes! a fallen deva! this should take care of that archangel and tose children. but i won`t concentrate my power on such small matters! i will finish that idiotic ogre`s work." the deva goes off hunting. "hmmn, now, where to find bones for my throne?" suddenly, a strange feeling passes Jonathan and he senses another power close to him. then, an elven war party comes passing through the forest. the elven leader sees Jonathan and says:"hold! who are you?"the elf looks at his many scars on his skin and runes on his robes(sorry for not giving details about Jonathan but i will give the info as soon as i think of something good and see a good pic of a necromancer) and says:"or should i say what are you?" Jonahan laughs and says:" that doesn`t matter to you. you will all be killed very soon." the elven leader gets angry and shouts:" to arms, my brothers! we are under at-" before the elf could finish his sentence, he is affected by Jonathans casted Abi Dalzim`s Horrid Wilting and dies with all the other party members. "yes.." Says Jonathan "these bones will do.." |

ahh, i have found a suitable pic for Jonathan in the warcraft III webpagehttp://www.blizzard.com/war3/conceptart/necromancer.shtml
sorry for not being more original. as for his story, here it comes: a long time ago, Jonathan was the right hand of a long lost evil god. he served his god well and had so much power, that it was compareable to his gods power. one day, he wanted to kill his god and become a god himself. he offered a challege to his god. however, he lost and the god killed him, but before killing him, he took most of Jonathans power also. some time later Jonathan got ressurected. he became a powerful enemy of the lost gods illithids so the illithids imprisoned him in a huge war. |

(ooc: There's just one problem, uss -- I don't think Tiamat put any elves in his world. But I guess he wouldn't object if they were to be put into it, just as he didn't object to my race of archangels. Right, Tiamat?
![]() And... (gasp ![]() ![]() ************************************************** Marduk nodded as he listened to the ogre's words. "Could that urn have served as some kind of prison for that being whom the ogre referred to as Jonathan?" he wondered. After all, that being appeared right after the urn was broken -- or so the ogre claimed. Meanwhile, LRRH walked to the ogre and gave him a kick in the shin. "Bad, bad man!" she cried. "Now you got your lesson from uncle Mar-dook!" "Stop that, child," admonished Marduk. "Don't be rude." Then suddenly the archangel felt a terrible chill run up his spine. Instantly he recognised the presence, albeit remote, of extremely powerful and hostile magical forces being set in motion -- forces so potent he might not be able to hold them at bay on his own. From the tremors he felt in his body, he could also tell that lives had been destroyed by those forces. "Uncle Mar-dook, is something the matter?" asked Hansel when he saw how Marduk seemed momentarily frozen as if shocked about something. "I'm fine, child," reassured Marduk. "But I've sensed that there are some very bad people around. I think we really need to leave now. Come." Clenching his hands into fists and putting them together close to his face, Marduk closed his eyes and whispered a word. A large boat appeared before him, the ogre and the children. "Wow," exclaimed Gretel. "Get inside, everyone!" commanded Marduk. "Hold tight!" The boat began to fly. Faster and faster it flew, with Marduk outside pushing the craft while his mighty wings flapped in the air. "Wheeeeee!" cried Hansel, Gretel and LRRH happily. "Uncle Mar-dook is really good!" The ogre cowered in the boat, too startled for words. Presently the boat soared beyond the clouds and ascended to a clear sky. And in the distance, a tiny speck could be seen. As they approached it, the speck slowly revealed itself for what it was -- a vast city, suspended in the sky...

(To uss: All I ask is that you don't make your character so powerful and unwieldy in future that no one would know how to deal with him.
BTW, you don't mind if at some time in the future I make Jonathan create a house of sweets and chocolates with his magic to lure Hansel and Gretel into his trap? ![]() ************************************************** Marduk and the boat were now approaching the giant portal of the magnificent city in the sky when a strange entity approached from behind. "Uncle Mar-dook, what's that?" asked Gretel, pointing at the approaching entity. Marduk turned to look. It was a fallen deva! Some hostile source must have summoned this creature and directed it against them! What was he to do? He could not let the boat go and fight the vile creature -- the boat would instantly fall. He decided he would push himself and the boat as quickly towards the city as his wings and his strength would permit; once they entered the portal, they would be perfectly safe. The fallen deva gave pursuit, spitting balls of flame at Marduk and the boat. The archangel flew as fast as he could, trying to ignore the lethal missiles whizzing past. Oh, how far away the portal seemed at this critical moment, so near yet so far... A fireball struck the archangel in the back! The boat rocked dangerously, the children screaming. Gritting his teeth, Marduk fought against the agonising pain and flew on. Yet presently his wings caught still another fireball. He nearly let go of the boat, which nearly toppled. Blood pouring from his mouth by virtue of his injuries, staining his chin and lower lips a bright incarnadine, he felt that death was close and decided to use the last remaining surge of strength he could summon to throw the boat through the portal so that the children would not die with him. "Uncle Mar-dook!" cried the children with alarm upon seeing the predicament of the archangel. "L-Listen, children..." gasped Marduk, "once you... enter the city... find Father... En-Enlil..." Then Marduk pushed with all the might he could muster and the boat shot towards the city's portal, while he plunged, down, down... "Uncle Mar-dook!!" screamed the children in tears... Is this the end of Marduk? ************************************************** Masjid Ravi was not pleased when he heard that his subordinate Illithid officers had failed to secure the tract of land controlled by the Calamari faction. As he was pondering on his next move, there was a brief buzzing sound and the face of an Illithid orderly came into view on the hemispherical viewing screen. "Lord Masjid," stuttered the orderly, "a theft has been reported at the archives." Masjid Ravi raised his eyebrows. "What?" he exclaimed. "Which section?" "It's Section 5, Lord Masjid." A sudden feeling of apprehension came to Masjid Ravi. "What was the item stolen?" "It was one of the urns, Lord Masjid. The urn bearing the words Jon-a-tan." Masjid Ravi's face turned pale. "This is no small matter!" he remarked. "Make haste. Activate all Level Aleph security systems and place all guards on top alert -- enemies with extreme offensive capability are anticipated!" "Orders acknowledged!" replied the orderly. [ 04-11-2002, 01:01 PM: Message edited by: K T Ong ]
