Like I said, you need to ROLEPLAY this sence out. however since you are late, I will just give this to you, at the cost of 1D3 sanity (STATS updated)

Story

Dr. Wang Chung examed the strange sqaure of pottery. The twisted markings on it is written in Sanskrit. It says "G'Hyr". A name foreignly unfamiliar to you. Perhaps a research in the library will come up with something, as Damien suggested.

Staring into the clay, the image "G'Hyr" illuminated somewhat dark and creepy dreamy figures. Like serpents, they seemed to dance in front of the Wang's eyes, as if waving and showing off their deadly fangs...

20 mins later

You were greeted by Dr. Williams, a lisenced health-carer in his thirties, with a neatly brushed mustachs style from victorian times.

"What can I do for you gentlemen?"

Oh dear. Talk about losing a bit of your sanity right at the beginning of the game. But anyway...

"Greetings, Mr Williams. I am Dr Wang Chung, an acquintance of Mr John Wilson. I am wondering if it would be okay for you to let us know of his maid Masie's current condition and whereabouts. We believe she might be able to offer some clues as to the disappearance of Mr Wilson, whom we're attempting to find."

(BTW, those scribblings on the piece of pottery look more like Nordic runes than Sanskrit to me. Heck, I've seen some real Sanskrit before. )

dude, if you are going to complain about the realness of that Sanskrit... then.. I dont know, we can sit all day and talk about it ^^

by the way, you happen to have an online resource? mine doesnt work well, as I type in one word, a dozen pop up.. oh well

Story

The man twisted eyebrows and appeared to be troubled by the request "Masie erh? That would be a No. I cannot allow you to see her, as she is in such an unstable condition as anything you might say could possibly drive her over the edge."

"I know I know, thats aweful a lot clues you might pick up from her, but I cannot overlook the possibility of any potential harm ."

Afraid I haven't an online resource. Sorry...

And look at what you've done! You should never have displayed the image of that piece of pottery! I know what it says! Now my sanity is plunging further and further! I'm going nuts and foaming at the mouth now! Gaaaahhhh...

Anyway:

Dr Wang Chung: Oh dear. I didn't know that's how bad her situation is. Sad. Well, then, do you reckon you could at least tell us what sort of things you've heard her say or do ever since she's been under your custody?

"Devils" Dr. Williams replied and then stopped abruptly, looking at you two.

with a slight hint of laughter "you don't really buy that, do you?"

"Well, neither do I. She continously mumbled about some kinda purple haze, and hasn't been eaten for days when we brought her to the mental hospital, and apparently she is suffering from a mild case of Chromophobia, the aftermath of some traumatic experience. Who knows what happened in her master's little chamber?"

"On top of that, she is terrified beyond reasoning, I doubt you could get any answers out of the poor child anyway. I am sorry this is all I know, there is much ear cannot tell from the eyes. She is the witness, after all."

Chromophobia: fear of color

and KTOng, have you played COC before? or read the books? ^^

I've read some of Lovecraft's truly excellent stories, but I haven't played COC before.

Dr Wang Chung: Hmmmm. I see. Is she especially afraid of any specific color? Purple, presumably? Also, would you happen to know anything about this piece of pottery, Sir? (I'm showing Mr Williams the piece of pottery.)

Dr. Williams is puzzled by the strange pottery. He handed back the sqaure with an expressionless shrug

"A big NO to me.

And yes, Chromophobia, purple is extremely terrifying to the child. and God, I suspect the symptoms are permenante."

"Well? If there is nothing more required of me, I will have to get back to my patients."

Rikard, tell me your skills! In thread "The Lurking Things" ^^

Dr Wang Chung: Just a couple more questions if you don't mind, Sir; have you previously ever encountered similar cases to Masie's in your experience, and if so what similarities have you discerned in all these cases with respect to causes, symptoms, or whatever?
