The last groups of buffalos stumbled into the wide hole on the ground. Now the space is clear, a real gap is made amoung the charging line of buffalos. The group is saved.

This private message continues from Chapter 1: the Lurking Shadow right after the 24th post.

You sat along in a small hill outside the dark forest. It is a moonless night. The singing and music and laughters came from the fire-lighted camp. It is almost foreign to you. Why, the people, and the fun, that is not part of your world. You know it, those are not you. But despite all these believes, you found yourself longing.

"Heh" you grinned sarcastically "No one hangs out with evil."

Suddenly, a cold breeze brushed the hair on the back of your neck. You shivered and stood up alartingly. Your hands went to your weapon reflexively, ready to lash out. You sensed a small movement in the dark bushs just within the forest, but you found it impossible to make out the object. A creepy feeling climbed up from your feet to your legs, body, back, arms then the back of your skull. Something was watching you, you can be sure of that.

Due to a strange kin-relationship, you felt the presence of evil.

I duck low. Crouched, but still able to run. My eyes dart about franticly, yet somehow, recording every movement. A blowing leaf, a field mouse, even a cricket 20 ft away. For some reason, I am unsure of what to do. All my life I have always been so sure of myself. I decide not to take any chances. I quickly pull out some components to a spell and hold them tight. Then, I wait...

You found nothing.

A few hours later, the contest begin. You saw a group of people heading out of the camp. One of them is Legolas, heading towards his appointed starting position.

You feel the preying eyes again.

OOC: *Singing* It always feels like, somebody's watching me...

I am definately being watched. In this place, I can only assume it is the tribe's shaman. However, I never give in to assumption. I decide it best to stay away from the game, however, I find it very intriguing. I climb a tree in a place I assume will be somewhat close to Legolas' starting point.

You vaguely marked someone on top of the tree about 30 yards ahead of you. You noticed a slight movement below your tree, but just as your turned to exam it, there was nothing. Perhaps it was wind.

OOC: Tiefling? Sprite? Quickling? NVM

I quickly drop to a crouch and then slowly make my way to a tree with a good view of the surroundings as well as a view of the one in the other tree (I thought I was already in a tree?) I sit there and watch the one in the other tree as well as surveying the landscape for others. I am looking for anything moving or anything that looks out of place. I am waiting foe Legolas.

OOC: Waiting for something to happen. I don't know what to do about this 'presence' that is watching me.

You heard a low piercing sound just ahead of you where you first spoted someone vaguely. The sound was a missle tearing through the air. There came no respond of any kind, perhaps the missle didn't hit whatever target the person meant to hit.

Still sitting, still waiting. Since the missile obviously was not aimed at me, I could care less what is going on.

You sat and waited as the night grew denser. There was a moment that you could not see anything beyond your nose tip. A distance owl wailed ghastly, making the only sound in the silent ocean of darkness. The trees sat still around you, there was no wind anywhere. Reaching out your hands, you could feel the stickness of thick air that filled the forest...
