this is the solution to the fighter/cleric problem: Paladins
at level 17 (BG2 highest level) they have level 14 turn undead, which will make a skeleton warrior get fear instntly, and have spells: 3 1st lvl, 3 2nd lvl, 3 3rd lvl and 1 4th lvl. this means you can have a load of lowish healing spells as well. nb i would still have Aerie and/or Jaheira with this as they are both good npcs -------------- Haladar Mithril Cavalier of ALSB |

Goto Cromwell in the Docks section to forge the Crom Faeyr...
And I vote in favor of Clerics, although NOT for healing spells. I've found that I found enough healing potions throughout the game. Jaheira (Insect Plague, Summon Fire Elemental) and Anomen/Viconia (Negative Plane Protection, Chaotic Commands, Holy Smite) have proved to be very useful. At one point I had both Anomen and Viconia in my party - this was a nice combination when battling undead (vampires, liches, etc). Finally gave Viconia the boot in favor of another tank (Keldorn & then Valygar) but Jaheira and Anomen will remain in my group. |

2 seem fine fore me, but then again they have other uses (J, and Aeire) so theyer both duel classed, theyer usfull for more than just healing etc, if you have a full class cleric(Anomen, Viconia or your PC) you prolly wont need anther. Thats my felling anyway, I rarely use healing spells, nobdoy seems to die when I fight, so i can just rest-untull-healed my way back to full, but they do come in handy now and then.

Well you're right in the sense that there are a handful of spells that are great priest spells. I just find the others are wasted. I use about 2-3x as many mage spells as I use priest spells. But without some of those priest spells, you are at a disadvantage. I guess I wish there were more good priest spells compared to mage spells...
