Don't worry about it. I did the same thing on my first game, no big deal, play on. If you play the game again (like I did many times) then check out the boat then. It's waaaay back at the asylum. Saemon offers to take you on the boat.

Sorry about these two everybody. Oh, by the way, definitely take the boat or you will have a torrid time in the underdark without the (item which cannot be spoiled).
