The best computer game must be BG2. Yet FF7 has got my vote on the Playstation. Oh well... Thats that =D

I have fond memories of Fallout 2. My solo evil bad mofo( named Lobo), had -9000+ Karma and made nearly every single town into a ghost town( either through plain massarce or nuclear meltdown).
LOL I loved the fact that I assassinated all the crime bosses in New Reno. I had the Vindicator in one slot and the Bozar in the other. End boss was a pushover though... considering that all my hits were criticals( Sniper Perk + 10 LUCK)... I really enjoyed killing off the entire Enclave( including their Navarro Base). |

Galaga, definitely. Yar's Revenge was pretty good, too...
BG is the best rpg I've seen in a while, but this is pretty much a constantly-evolving critter. If NWN or a couple of the others do what they say they will, BG will eventually look primitive by comparison. For TBS, if you play TBS as beer-n-pretzels: Warlords 3. High replayability, high customizability, ... it's a cult classic among computer games...

Hmm hard to say. BG II has refined the rpg genre so well but there have been some huge leaps forward in some of the older games. When I think over all the games I have ever played and which one just blew me away utterly the list is pretty short. Wasteland is right up there with the BG series and the Fallout series. Some of the game mods like TFC I find better than the original product as well. As for RTS games I have loved Total Annhilation and AOEII.

Well, I've played through bg1 about 30 times, and bg2 also about 30 times, but I've only made it through tob twice. As far as I am concerned, the bg series is the most diverse game series that I have ever played through. There was one interesting point about the clutter at the beginning of bg2, and doing most of the game basically without leaving Atkatla, but, unlike say Diablo, or the rest of that series, you don't really have to do them in order. In fact, you really don't have to do most of them. You can pick and choose by class, with the exception of either Bhodi's or Aran's quests, which help develop the story line. I joined Bhodi with a thief, twice, so it really doesn't matter what race/class you are, just watch what you say!!!

BG2 is Great, not because of its graphics or visual effects. its because of the interaction and atmosphere NPC reactions. In which RPG you fall in love like Aerie? In which RPG you fight side by side with a heroic fighter like Minsc? Which ranger has boo? BG2 is outstanding..
but TOB is disapointingç..

dragon warrior was sweet too, for old school nintendo. final fantasy 1 was such a great game in its day, as well. and of course tecmo super bowl. that game is still a legend in one of the small groups of friends I always hang out with. Street fighter 2 turbo was a really good game too. BG II is good but it doesnt have the history to be the best game ever, in my humble opinion.

I would have to agree with StormBlade about this one because I still will always remember Dragon Warrior and FF as the games that introduced me to RPG and how addictive they can become. I have a SNES emulator on my PC and I still play FF2 and FF3 regularly just for simple fun. The best thing about BG is the non-linear approach where you are the master of what will happen the next day except for the Chapters.
IMHO of course. ![]()
