I think I read both Elfshadow and Elfsong. She has quite a list there. I'll have to pick some up at the Library.

Should there be an update to this sticky thread?

From Elaine Cunningham I think I read both Elfshadow and Dream Spheres. Both very good, I like Elaine because of her characters. I think she has some of the best all round believable characters in her book.

Then there are Salvatore and Greenwood characters. Well Greenwood is much more guilty of character invincibility than Salvatore. Even some of the villians are invincable ready to be brought back at the drop of a hat. I think Ed wrote the book on 1001 ways to come back from the dead. 943 - Have clones of yourself scattered throughout your world so you can posses them when your current body dies. LOL

What's been happening in the FR world these days? I hear the boffins in charge totally destroyed the world a few years ago or something. The last series I read was the one with the elf demons (fey'ri and the daemonfey). I kind of lost touch after that as the quality of the books deteriorated. Can someone give me a summary/snapshot of the world as per the latest edition?

I have not kept up with it since the beginning of this year. Previously, I made sure I owned every novel that was released, but somewhere last year, when things started changing and they got rid of those things I consider vital components to the story, I was discouraged and have not even investigated any releases for 2009. I too would like to know what people are saying about the series these days.
