What kind of misanthrope could actually enjoy a film like this anyway? I see it more as an exercise in therapy, an attempt to have a film-catharsis so to speak for the many suffering families.
Whilst its not something I would watch personally or agree with from an ethical standpoint, I'm not going to dismiss its basis entirely with misdirected cynicism.

Oh come on. How long should we wait? It's been five years!
You're right, but the skyline still looks naked to me. I still feel like I'm going to throw up whenever I go near the site.</font>
Seriously?! </font>
Yes, seriously. I was out boating the weekend before it happened, and I can still see the Towers clear in my mind. I remember what the skyline looked like five years ago.

It's still a very fresh wound to me. I don't agree with the way this event has been exploited and manipulated by politicians, and while I think five years *might* be enough time to make a movie out of it (I don't feel that my own emotions should factor into decisions like that, after all, I am a sane person), I highly doubt that anyone needed to do something like that. What kind of a... I don't know, "message" needs to be delivered that we haven't gotten by living through it, by reading the papers, by watching the news? I highly doubt that this movie will do anything but cheapen what happened. But hey, that's my opinion. I'm cynical about things like this.

Do not forget that the film will also be watched by the rest of the world. And that they may not suffer the same degreee of emotional turmoil as those in the USA. As big as the USA market is rest of the world is bigger

And the difference between making this film and Hotel Rwanda is what?
