I'd love to see "The Chronicle of Thomas Covenant" as a movie.

I think it would be neat to have a movie based on the Command & Conquer: Red Alert series. Although that idea has been done already. Maybe, Metal Gear Solid since it already plays like a movie. Diablo II would make a decent movie. A really good one would be a movied based off one of Tom Clancy's games/books. I've always liked those.

There already are a couple of movies based on Tom Clancy novels. Patriot Games and Clear and Present Dangerstarring Harrison Ford, The Sum of All Fears starring Ben Affleck and The Hunt for Red October starring Alec Baldwin and coincedentaly all three men played the same character of Jack Ryan. But one of Tom Clancy's book/game's i'd like to see made into a movie is Rainbow Six but only if it's based on the book.

I guess I should of mentioned that there already is some movies based on his books. And I agree with you that a Rainbow Six movied based on the books would be great. I would also like to see maybe Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell (Especially Splinter Cell) made into a movie. With Splinter Cell it can't be some mission impossible, escape from everything movie. It needs to be more realistic like in the game.

My wife is hoping that the current interest in superheroes will spawn a Wonder Woman movie.
I'd like to see the Dragonlance books (Chronicles and Legends).
The Dark Knight Returns
A new (good) Conan movie
A new (again, good) Superman movie (Smallville has me in the mood for Superman)
William Shatner's Trek books (much better than the current films)
Any good fantasy film

Halo, would make a kickin movie, as it is the game nearly feels like a movie already with the quality of the graphics and the AI the game has. Have you seen the preview movie for Halo 2? It blew me away.

I would too, but I don't not think mainstream movie viewers could accept a protaganist that rapes someone. And taking that out makes many of the events in the following books hard to link.

I epseically love the use of Geo-Mod technology. Being able to chip away at walls with individual bullets just makes it feel more real. I can't wait till it comes out.

i would like to see Gabriel Knight sins of the father made into a movie.

originally it is a old style rpg (not like BG, more monkey island) which was worked on by the author of the story it was based on. the game is great in my opinion, and she also wrote an ok book version (that deviates from the game in details, but hey that doesn't matter much).

there are also two more games (gk2 - the beast within, quite good for werewolf lore etc and gk3- blood of the sacred, blood of the damned, really good game about the rennes le chateau mystery in france, knights templar, secret societies and vampires)
there was also a book of the second gaem, tohugh i cant track it down.

obviously the first one in the series would have to be done first, though i reckon the second and thrid would make even better films, if done right e.g. good casting, good budget, true to the plot.

the first one itself is a mystery thriller really, with voodoo and crime set in new orleans. i think it would be pretty cool. but they'd have to get THE right guy for the main character. otherwise it'd never work.

likewise, other than gk, i'd love to see baldurs gate or the hobbit made into a film. but i gues the hobbit isn't as thrilling as lotr, not now that they've made lotr and the hobbit is set before. it would have to be more of a kids movie or something (that adults happen to watch too).

on the topic of pc games made movie, is the dungeons and dragons film any good?

Dues Ex, Imagine the opening sequence, A man dressed all in black, running along a wall, he ducks behind some debris, shoot around JC's glasses showing mechanical enhancements in his eyes. Suddenly the camera pulls out to to see a the statue of liberty, it pulls around and lady liberty's face has been blown off and landed on the island. A man dressed in a strange body armor walks by and our hero fires a crossbow bolt. A hit, the man grabs his neck and falls to his knees and then unconcious. He makes his way to a pile of debris next to the base, dispatching several guards along the way. He looks up, puts his hands on the boxes but changes his mind and follows the wall to the main door. You hear some mechanical noises, JC looks around and a small but dangerous looking tracked robot is patroling. JC cut across the front, Machine guns fire, something is thrown cut in just above the tracks lands a grenade. explosion. But the guards have been alerted. He needs to decide. A clip falls and he reloads.

I gotta go, continue this later.

Jc comes around a corner fires, a gunfight ensues, our hero takes a hit in the shoulder but dispatches the guards. He searches one w/ a more distinctive helmet. he finds a data unit, and a username and password within that. cut around a corner and focus on an autogun, pan down to a security datapad. A look of resolve comes over our hero, He charges, the auto gun turns and focuses on the hero. it begins to fire coming closer and closer to Jc but stops as he gets to close. As Jc hacks cut to cameras(which are of course next to autoguns) which begin to shut down and guards walking past the shut down cameras. After tossing a couple of gernades into the rubble that was the statue of liberty complex. Jc cuts through under gunfire, to an open door. he fights off the last of the guards, hand to hand. He cuts around a corner taking out a gaurd alerted by the noise. Searching he finds a key and unlocks a cell. A large, highly enhanced man steps up and Jc finally speaks. "Are you Hermann?"
the man speaking w/ a german accent, "yes, give me a weapon and i will sweep the ground level you proceed up."
JC "Your hurt, you should get medical treatment."
Hermann:"give me a weapon."
"ok,take this pistol."
Jc then walks back and picks up a pistol off an unconquios guard. and heads up the back stairs. After dispatching several guards through various means and disarming several grenades. He reaches the leader. the camera(in slow motion) ahead of jc follows him around the corner with his weapon drawn. the nsa leader already has his hands raised as if expecting the attack. the conversation ensues and after a minute or two, the Unatco forces storm up. the leader is arrested. Pan out, around the statue, and down. Nsa forces being cuffed, bodies being moved and arrested soldiers are pushed.
