i am an anime addict. What i've seen so far
GWing- my favorite anime but a big part of that is nostilga. Still very good
Cowboy bebop-proably the best anime ever made. more poeple love this than any other, movie was good to
Gundam x- I just finished this and it may be the best gundam series I think it could have gone just a couple more episodes to flesh out the resolution
Trigun-Very good, cool story some comedy but don't call it a comedy its not
outlaw star-very good ended way to aburtly
Xthe tv show-I'm about 4 episodes away from finish this and have found it to be great so far
Ghost in the shell-Very good, I've read some reviews that say it's hard to follow or convoluted but i didn't think so(it's an action movie) one of the coolest fight scene's i've ever seen and a cyborg who muses about what it means to be human.
battle angel-very good but only has 2 episodes makes me want to read the manga
ranma 1/2-very funny, i could watch it forever and w/ at least 7 seasons i maybe (one of the funniest things i've ever seen is a panda reading the newspaper)
gundam 0083-good to very good, creates some drama with a timed plot
gundam 8th ms team- i liked this better than 0083, i thought the story was better and less deriative, a departure for gundam
dbz-while i enjoy watching this it's not the holy grail of anime, it's can be fun and it can be very boring
db-better than dbz can be very funny and the world is rarely in danger

those are just what i've finished or seen most of. Nge is good so far but the end is the dissappointing part for most people and it cann be hard to follow

I've got to figure out what i'm going to watch next?????

Frankly, I'm not very much into the humourous anime. Too silly, even for me.

The things I've always appreciated about "good" anime are mature characterization, attention to detail in the animation, realistic perspective (mostly; in the best anyways) and a willingness to explore concepts that you'll otherwise never see outside an SF novel. Battle Flag of the Stars, for example, has some of the most breathtaking space scenes in all of animation.

You'll never see anything like this in western animation! (Well, maybe in full length feature films - Titan A.E. came close; Final Fantasy was awesome!)

I absolutely LOVE Princess Mononoke, love love love it.
And for some reason Im really into Berserk right now, (dont ask).
Its not something I would recommend for a starter, and not even for a regular, I just like it.

Sauceman, try to find Nausicaa (might find it under the name Warriors of the Wind). If you liked Mononoke, you should like Nausicaa.
