Now that you mention it, yeah. But what about Attack of the Clones? The race scene at the beginning? When the power coupling got shot I immediatly thought of those racing games (or trench run in the star wars games) where you have to dodge up and down. And then there was the scene in the droid factory. That was a jumping puzzle if I ever saw one. It looked like Lucas was trying to make a movie that you could play as a video game. That guy has been listen to Yogurt from Spaceballs a little to much.

Though if you ask me, Lucas came up with te Droid Factory sequence after watching 'Chicken Run'...

Starship Troopers? Yeah, I liked it. You really had to look at it from a certain point of view. I still never understood how the bugs could get asteroids into space though. Anyone care to explain?
LOL, the YAAAing was a bit much, but what I found funny was that before the Klandathu massacre, all the news was happy, with that little blonde brat saying "I'm doing my part to" and all the soldier-actors chuckling in the way that yells "SOMEONE KILL HIM!"

The movie is one of those where you say, "To hell with plot, let's GET READY TO RUUUUMBLE!"

Basically just leave your brains at the door and enjoy yourself( which the movie succeeds in happily. Macho action, babes and GORE! WOOHOO!).

Starship Troopers inspired maps in Starcraft, where the premise is to survive wave, after wave of bugs( Zerg). Heck... it inspired maps in Warcraft 3 as well, thanks to the Marine/Zergling/Hydralisk models in the game.

3D models of marines, I can almost die happy now.

With all of that said and done... ...

Well, Ep. 1 wasn't nearly as blatent as Ep. 2. And really, the only games inspired by Ep. 1 were Pod Racer and Jedi Power Battles. (Galactic Battlegrounds was inspired by TESB.) I'm just suprised there hasn't been games released yet for Ep. 2, or did I miss them?

I read a story a few months back that starship troopers II is in the works. It is supposed to be a bit closer to book the article said.

I don't know if you can include Knights of the Old Republic (Bioware's Aurora Engine SW thingy) because from early reports they're not set during what SW roleplayers call the 'Rise of the Empire' era. All in all though, that makes 4! As for the Episode 2 computer games... Jedi Starfighter springs to mind... they did do the Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campiangs expansion pack, but as that's only an add-on I guess that doesn't quite count. LucasArts are rolling in the dosh!
