Great series....The slower parts of it are definatly made up for by the rest.

I happen to know a person who is such a fan that he made is username from the series. I agree that "The great hunt" was a great book. I read that one twice.

I tend to re-read the entire series as each new volume is released. Obviously, this has become a more time-consuming business as more and more books have been written. However, I find that it really helps to have the storyline and all of the numerous characters fresh in my head when I finally arrive at the new book.

Ok so after this thread got fired back up I just had to go and reread Heart of Winter. Jordan did a really good job with that book It's hard to believe a book that big can fly by so fast and then suddenly you're done and saying "MORE!!! I want more! NOW!!" hehe. Plus I love it when my theories on events bear out. . o O(Yes! I was one of the very few to guess who killed asmodean correctly!...well, I THINK... it seems more obvious now)

I'm still waiting to see if he's dropped Moiraine off the face of the earth or if she's going to 'resurface'! I literally CRIED when she went through that doorway! Does anyone fear she will be resurrected as evil??? I just considered that since several of the Chosen have been 'brought back'. I hope she resurfaces. And was anyone else disappointed in how quickly and easily the taint was taken care of? Not a complaint - just a bit of a surprise that it wasn't more....dramatic, I guess.

Of course she's coming back. Remember a conversation after the fact between Min and Rand when Min's internal dialog is saying something to the effect about how Rand needs Moraine to succeed at Tarmon Gaidon? She says that was the only viewing she has apparently been "wrong" on. We all know that her viewings always happen, and coupled with the fact that all the glossarys in the back of the books say "believed to be dead" lead me to believe that she will be back. I hope she comes back, because I really liked her.

Oh yes, she's coming back. NostraPrimus predicts that she will be rescued by none other than Thom Merrilin, and that they will be married soon after Mat may be involved in it too, but the Thom/ Moiraine thing is the important part. Do you have any other questions about things like that DragonMage? I love these kind of discussions

I guessed the part about being rescued by Thom Merillin too - Egwene had a dream about Thom putting his hand into fire to draw out Moiraine's blue stone.
Also, my guess is that she'll come out at the tower of the Aelfinn and the Eelfinn in the Two Rivers due to other clues.
Any more questions? Gotta re-read that series sometime...
