The server is NOT down!

My gnome illusionist signed on to an empty server to find a ton of stuff at Durnan's Used Goods Sale

He wandered down to level 12 to pick up a stone scepter and it was gone. There were monster remains everywhere.

I tried popping in and out with different characters to no avail.

Is the server still configured to reset when the last person signs off?
I can confirm the same thing happening to me twice at least, the server is taking longer to reset. Of course this is both a good and a bad thing. Good in that when your PC or internet crashes after fighting all the way down to ten and youre about to pick up a stone, when you log back on it will still start you at ten and not drive you crazy by starting you back at the YP. On the flip side if you get stuck somewhere it takes a long time to reset the server before you can restart.

It has definitely changed somehow

LOL, well, all the same to me, as I've only ONCE got to the 10th level and got a stone, most times I log in there's a lot of debris and the lower levels have been cleaned out already.

But resets are good if people do log off...so I hope they're still happening!

Might be worth shouting down see if there are any stones before you make your way. I tried that a couple of times to be told they were cleared out. Saved me having to fight all the way through just to meet with frustration. I've found that generally someone will know (or check for me if they are kicking around downstairs).

What I want to know is who was deliberately holding the server open for *hours* today?

Yes, as I was asking in the Undermountain just before you left... isn't it against the rules to park a char in the game and leave it there all day?

Has the server gone down again? Sad, sad. Temporarily free and no way to get a fix. Kids and wife otherwise occupied, this was the perfect moment..

Well, we killed her, time to see how well the save on rest is working...Stupid trolls anyway...

Edit, or not, I guess I was having a hiccup in my internet connection, or something.
