It's easy to take eyesight for granted. Great to hear both surgeries went so well.

Wyv, Glad to hear both operations went well for you! As you can tell nothing wrong with anyone's vision out here - we all see you as a great person. Continued good luck.

What a wonderful group!!!

Thanks again for all the kind wishes and compliments (blush)!

Thought I would show you why I'm so glad to have had my eyes fixed. Below is an example of what it is I do - oil paintings.

If you're like me, the first time you looked at Wyverns painting, you probably tought she was a photograph, not a painter.

Makes you wonder with all those details when she finds the time to play the Game or to post on the board.

Is this a post-surgery painting Wyv?

I did the "Fungus on Log" (such a catchy name, not ) painting earlier this year so it is "pre-surgery". My major problems as the cataracts were getting worse were glare that would give me headaches and the inability to work long hours at a time. This particular painting took me longer to complete because of my eyes, but didn't pose any real problems beyond that.
Now my most recent painting was another matter all together. There was so much fine detail that I could not see well that I had a lot of difficulty. I did most of this painting before the surgery but completed it afterwards.
The photo is not color accurate - it is too brown/yellow than the actual painting. I'll have to find a way to correct that.
