I got three shells, then did the click back and forth thing and ended up with 6 helmets and 4 breathing shells...FYI. Vine spell zone of clean air works WONDERS down there, too...

Hmmm... maybe the secret is having three shells. I tried with just one and all he would say was that wasn't enough. I will have to try with three and see what happens!

I found 'em really well by going down, diving deep in the sea by the little cove in the southwest part of the sea, then having them follow you back to shore ...

*BIG sigh* I just killed six of the crabs in a row, and not ONE shell! Geez... this is getting frustrating!

I even saved and reloaded and still now shells. I must be cursed!

BLKCat, sometimes they just don't drop 'em! Frustrating...and on one game, I collected so many shells that I didn't need them anymore!

It would be so cool if there were an online "meeting" room where we could bring our characters and trade items that we didn't need but others did...like if I had five extra breathers and someone didn't have any, but they had a Wizard's Blade they didn't need and I wanted it...a fair swap, you know!

I AM cursed!

I cannot find one crab that will drop a shell! I am about ready to take my chances with the "breath of air" spell. And what is even worse is that they are few and far between, even with respawn set on often. I think I will throw a temper tantrum! *laughing at myself*

That is a great idea Sazerac, to have a meeting room. It is too bad we could not come up with somewhere like this! I would be beggin' for shells I tell you!

Thank you, MikeyG!!! Put this in the Best Tips thread! You have saved many players countless hours of frustration.

Only thing is, you do need 3 shells initially to get him to recognize that you have them...then you do the "click off and on" the character technique. It also will only work without the patch.

But the days of scouring the sea for shells are over!
