Oh, okay. I hadn't realized that telling someone they are "spouting off for no apparent reason" and have really poor grammar was a compliment in England. I've had english friends and I guess they just forgot to let me in on that little secret. To the untrained eye, it just looked like an obnoxious little kid was posting in order to slight the original poster's intent. Thanks for clearing that up! I feel much better now.

And, I also, now that I understand that the poor boy is just British, feel the warmth of his insults tossed my way like a blanket fresh from the dryer covering my body on a cold winter's night.

Yes, this is surely cultural. Obviously. I feel the love.

Oh for god's sake (please dnt take offence that I have mentioned the lords name in vein).

It IS cultural. (Please dnt take offence that I highlighted in bold to emphasise my point)

If you lived over here, you wouldn't be half as narky and sensitive as you are, and if you were, you'd be a recluse that never got out of the house. (Please dnt take offence that I have said this.)

You are TOO sensitive, and TOO eager to make sure that people think the worst of me. I remember a certain American who got banned on these forums having the exact same opinion as me...half of America is too sensitive.

The only thing I see wrong with what Katherine has been saying is that you aren't evil enough.
You are too kind for a evil sort, for thou shalt not become the Mistress if Evil with this curteous approach. heh. Tis shameful to all those of evil intent...

As for this argument of cultural differences it has absolutely nothing to do with the initial post made by Me of Corse which dealt with npc pictures. So far there have only been two people arguing over this...and well...neither have said anything against what was posted, other than just "why" it was posted. I feel as though I've landed back in high school again.

(P.S. Why do British people always have such terrible looking teeth? I have seen several English movies and they all need a days work at the dentists.)

Xzar's picture is actually pretty accurate, considering what a criminally insane Chaotic Evil Necromancer might look like. The WORST picture, by FAR, has got to be Coran's. I firmly believe that Bioware intended to give him the picture that ended up landing on Kivan. I mean, come on! Coran has 16 CHA, and Kivan has 9. Who gets the better picture? Xan's pic looks rather silly and pretentious, too.

Given the fact that everybody likes Minsc, shouldn't he have higher CHA? I mean, sure, he's a Ranger, and therefore probably doesn't come into town for a bath too often, but still.....

Lavinda, I'll not say anymore to you as it's really pointless. Anything I could say will be ignored and you will justify your actions by whatever means please you at the moment. You can pretend that you're "just being British" if you want. You can pretend that it's all me if you want. I am sure you'll have a clever answer to this, too. Please, feel free. I've nothing against you, I just wish you'd not dismiss people's posts with regularity. I recognise that you're just a young kid and I won't be adding to this conversation anymore. Enough said.

ciao ciao gattino,
Katherine

I think the most well-suited picture is Eldoth's. I love that portrait! He's a total chump. It's perfect.

Another portrait/character mismatch, I think, is Shar-teel's. I really enjoy that character. I think her portrait looks really silly, though. I imagine her to be a little more commanding than that.

I like Xan's portrait! He's a fun character.

I think the best voice set in the game is Dynaheir's. It's very nice. SInce I've never actually used that NPC (I usually kill her or just let her go, or, in one case, let Edwin and Minsc and her all go at it), I like to use that sound set for my protagonist. Skie's sound set is also good, at least for the type of characters I like to play.

Not everyone likes Minsc! I am in the minority, I know, but I hate that character! God, his sound set gets old fast! But, you know my inclination towards the criminally insane... lol

Ugh, shar teels portrait looks like she's a tribal warrior. Eldoth has a great picture, and in my opinion, thats the best one.

Another great pic is Ajantis, and he has the coolest voice in my opinion. The person i hate the most is Xan, ugh.

Lastly, Garrick has a great pic for a bard, and probably the best voice in the game. Especially when he has a morale break "Brave Braves Sir Garrick, Sir Garrick led the way, Brave Brave Sir Garrick, Sir Garrick ran away!" Ha, that never gets old in my book.

I'm a bit puzzled by Khalid's picture. He's supposed to be Mister Whimpy when it comes to a real battle, but his picture makes him look like some Rambo swordsman. Maybe he was taking a fart in the picture........hmmmmmm. Heh...

I think Khalid's portrait looks like Porky Pig!

The portrait I like to use is that of Edwin, he is dark and mysterious and looks as though he has evil in his soul. Also if you use Edwin's picture and then recruit him, he gets the portrait of the guy in a flat hat who looks like an Irish lepricorn.
I absolutely hate the portrait of the whimpy looking elf (the program allocates it to Deder who is a Hafling),it looks like he has just sat on a porcupine. Faldorn looks like a wild animal while Imeon is way too old and has been to the beauty salon. Yes I agree Eldoths portrait is very accurate, he has a great sneer, or is it a leer?
