Oh... I forgot to mention something. This "magical attack" I have in mind isn't a part of any 3rd party modification. You'll need ToB, though (hint #3!).

Wing Buffet? (is it a spell?)
Hmmm... I havn't really thought about it. Might The Cloak stop it?

Teleport Field?
Nah... powerful as it may be for disturbing attackers, i still wouldn't call it a "magical attack". It's more of a... "magical annoyance".

Anybody else care to join the game?

Implosion cuts right through both the cloak and MR, though you can obtain that legally so I doubt it's the attack you're thinking of.

lol. I can just see a Dragon, flapping his Wings at the Fighter, only to find that the mysterious Cloak that he/she is wearing blows it right back at his face.

Bah... Something that the PC can't have... No 3rd party mods... The shockwave that Abazigal casts? Tail Slap? The spell that Draconis casts when he appears in Dragon form? The stance that Balthazar uses to simulate Wing Buffet? The insta-kill spell of Balthazar (can't remember if it is part of the Ascension mod)?

Level Drain. Although, admittedly, Player1 can indeed use it, so I'll have to scratch my head a little more to see what Alson's thinking of....

Strenght drain would be a better guess I suppose .. since player1 or his NPCs wont have that "magical special ability" without MODs and the like.
However you dont need ToB for it, so again not what Alson was looking for

ADD: Is Improved Torgal's Strenght drain stopped by MR ?
If you use his claw to attack f.e. clay-golems ... it wont die because of the strenght drain: It says "Magic resistance"...
So atleast the strenght-drain of his dagger-hand can be stopped, but is his strenght drain -while still attached to the rest of him- stoppable ?

Wow, it's becoming more and more clear to me that I left out many "magical attacks". Still, it's a nice bit of trivia... and driving you all nuts is great fun!

OK, i'm giving in the last and final clue... but it should be quite obvious after it. Don't read if you still wanna try your luck in guessing.

As i said, this "magical attack" can be avoided. Magic Resistance won't do, neither will The Cloak nor Ultra-Low-Saves cover you backside. Surprisingly, ...

it's actually the LACK of something that will grant you the so needed help. Immunity to that effect will also do, of course.

Hmmz, I have to stop reading your threads ... I always end up slapping myself on the head and I have a sneeky suspiscion that's exactly what's going to happen real soon
I'll sue you for sustained damages eventually, I want it to build up a little more first

On a side note: Anyone know where I can find the Eye of Tyr ?
Is is Sendai's Enclave ?

EDIT/ADD:
Im doing the Wizardslayer/thief ATM .. permament physical res. is currently:
Slashing - 20
Piercing - 70
Blunt - 70
Missile - 50

(Dundee never counted on the fact that Yellow Dragon Armor does not bestow physical immunties all-round .. so even at the end of ToB, slashing will be 85 )

Stupid fire-giants do slashing damage ( ehr .. anyone else see them holfing a big hammer ? ) Even with 60% slashign resistance that amounts to about 15 damage per hit ( fire-damage included )

Here's that self-depreciation again! Tsk, tsk!

* starts looking for a lawyer *

Besides, you do Ninjitsu... you can suffer more than that.
I do Judo, by the way.

Weird numbers... what's your equipment? I'm guessing DoE, the-helm-of-unspellable-name, Interial Barrier, Yellow Dragon Armor... what else? Oh, and if i'm right, your Missile Resistance should actually be 45%...

Are you sure? I can't seem to find the thread, but i think he did took that into account... Can you locate it?

On a side note... why on earth aren't you wearing JansenWear?! 25% all-around is much, much better than merely 50% Piercing Resistance.

I cant answer your last question, since that would be depreciating again .. I'm trying to cut down on that

Newayz:
YDSA - 50% piercing /missile
DoE - 20% all round
Roranach's Helm - 50% crushing
Belt of inertial barrier - 25% missile

So:
70/75 % Piercing/missile
70% crushing
20% slashing

I'm not having any fun more though, .. so I'll probably quit this character
It seems quite powerfull .. but most enemies have slashing attacks and I'm not immune to +1 and lower weapons, meaning that wraiths and the like can still hit me ...

Both the Fire-giants and the master wraith and his minions were a *real* pain in the ass
