best classes??? - Page 3

on topic though,
1.sorcerer-anybody doesn't have them at the top is crazy
2. Kensai-mine was scarily good
3.thieves-kings of cheese w/ use any item and there's not a good straight thief in the game
4.tie paladins/barbarians- casomyr, or resistances which do you prefer?

I haven't played ToB much (only 2 times through, I usually get bored before reaching ToB while playing BG2. Never have began straight from ToB), but here's my favourites.

1) Paladins, especially Cavalier
2) Sorcerer
3) Thief, but not plain one, any of kits.
4) Bards
5) Barbarians

I haven't even finshied one game, so I don't know which one I think is the best, but it seems to me that the order would be:
1.Sorcerer!
2.Monk
3.Sorcerer!
4.Sorcerer!
5.Kensai->Mage
6.Sorcerer!
7.Sorcerer!
8.Swahsie
9.Sorcerer!

Kensai dualed to thied at level 13, using katanas. dont have to worry about using a crappy NPC thief, and you have one mean backstab. Also you will be able to wear armor after a while via the use any item HLA, counteracting the disadvantage of kensais ont getting armor. I personally would vote for this.

Sorcerer sorcerer SOCERER all i hear....

ok

1.Wizard!!! (they own and are IMHO better than sorcerer i can take a sorc anytime with my lv 34 wizard=))

2.Mage/Illosuinist (i could kill a lv 40 fighter with an lv 20 illosuinist they are like the best class ever but they get boring cus you dont get any challenge and i play with insane and all wimer mods)

My choice is next:
1. SORCERER!!
2. Monk
3. Berserker - noone mentioned.. enrage resistances are GREAT! No single Kangaxx left alive !
4. Wizard - generalist.

The main point against wizards is - i HATE spending time selecting spells to memorize. And what if, from all of a sudden, i need 3 Mordy's swords, not two?? [img]smile.gif[/img]

Sorceror's are my new favorite class, if you already know what spells kick ass for the way you fight then why bother memorizing the whole damn array? Plus it's very nice having access to 5 magic missiles when goblins can still kick your butt.
Monks are a lot of fun too, and I have a soft spot for druids and paladins.
