Continuing with the theme of trying new things….

I’ve just started an all evil party…I am sure most have but since I play consistently good and have a hard time stomaching being anything but good it is a real challenge for me.

let me tell you refusing to let Imoen into my party hurt…and freeing Jaheira and Minsc just to get the experience was unpleasant.

It too my assassin PC about 2 weeks of game time to make it through chateau Irenicus. (he died no less than five times at the hands of goblins) The temptation to cheat was huge (after all I am playing evil….so why not cheat)

But he is out and has recruited Korgan and Viconia and we are off to start work on getting Edwin.

That said deleting my evil game is sounding real good right now and all knight/nobility party sound so much more appealing

Valygar, Anomen, Nalia, Keldorn and Mazzy… this party will need a thief.

Not really, Nalia already has a decent detect trap skill, which you can boost further with several rings. Since she is also a Mage, she can learn Knock to deal with locked chests and doors.

If you do, make sure to download Saerileth. No buts about it. Download it

I’ve always found Nalia to be a really poor thief. And in that set up she would be the parties only mage…and there are better spells to learn than knock

Possibly, but in my case, she's the only thief that fits the theme of the party.

On another note, I wonder what NPC would make a decent placeholder for Sarevok. Love to make an evil party, going to take all the stock evil NPCs I know of (Edwin, Viconia, Korgan), and guess I'll add Jan to the mix

Game is kinda thin on Evil NPCs. You can make an entire party out of good, but for evil you have to mix in neutrals...

So, anyone know of a good placeholder for Sarevok? Can be normal NPC or a decent mod NPC (Ie: Decent means believable stats and abilities, and fairly well integrated into the game, banters and all that), just need something for that 6th slot until TOB.

(PC could be well.... anything. Have 2 mages, a decent cleric, a thief for lockpicks/disarm, and a good frontliner.)

I seem to recall a "Demon knight/ Evil paladin" kit mod out there. Gives you the ability to summon/unsummon demons a few times a day. I've tried it, and it's loads of fun

I just dumped my evil game.

I really don’t like playing evil…and I can’t stand any of the evil NPC’s

But since the all noble theme party sounds like fun (and more like my playing style) am going to give that a go-round. I figure a swashbuckler would fit with that party…it worked for Robin Hood. That should take care of all my thieving issues.

Only question is should I dual him to a mage?

Try out Silver Star. She's basically an Assassin, so you should probably still have another "regular" Thief in the party (Jan'll do), & she has no ToB content, so she's perfect for dropping-for-Sarevok. She is a fascinating character, IMO, with a few (major) drawbacks you should be aware of, but probably won't affect you much if you're playing Evil...

- don't take Haer Dalis' into your party at any time in the current version (major bugs will result)
- the forum for her has (for some probably stupid reason) split off from Spellhold Studios & is thus, IMO, less reliable for any questions (but I'll help, if possible)
- only install her if you intend to take her into your party (she's recruitable *very* early on - open the door next to Jaheira's cage) - she can screw up your game in a party where you don't recruit her (non-joinable NPC's "expect" her to be in your party & try to talk to her; she'll talk to you from a District you aren't in at random times, asking you to recruit her)

These are major bugs, I admit, but I'm a big fan of her content, so I heartilly recommend her for Evil parties, despite the bugs, & that's saying something since I'm not usually willing to overlook even minor bugs when recommending an NPC.
