Throughout BG1-ToB, ive played fighter/mage. They really kick ass, being able to cast spells but also be able to use swords and bows and the like. The only down sides? They only get to be 'proficient' in weapons and they dont learn as many spells. These guys could work a normal mage any day(i dunno about the wild mage lol)

I think my overall favorite is the Thief, although I pretty much like all of the classes except for the Bard and Druid which I don't have much experience with. I like how the Thief in BG1 can easily clear an entire map by himself if he feels like it, or just sit back and watch while his party does all the work [img]smile.gif[/img]
