Definitely, those could work. Although, in the case of Solaufein and the *ToB Staff*, I think I would prefer him to be dualwielding. Sanchuudoku + Crom Faeyr.

Hmm... Snachu+CF would be good. Maybe the PC could have ToB staff. I mean SotR+Whirlwind looks nasty.

Snachu+CF would be sick. You could go with Staff for the C/R, but there aren't that many good ones (you'd end up with Staff of Rynn +3 in SoA), and as a ranger, you get 2* in 2-Weapon Style for free.
