Race and class you first beat the game with? - Page 3

First time for me was with Brother Maynard, a human monk.

I chose the monk because it was a new class (plus I knew that there were NPCs covering the more traditional classes). Once Maynard was a decent level, he really took over the game. Beat Irenicus handily on the first try.

Later, I loaded a save and dropped everyone but the monk and tried doing the ending again. It was quite a bit harder (low INT meant no wands). The final stage when it was monk vs. slayer irenie took me forever to solve (I didn't have major regen items, and even slayer vs. slayer didn't work because I had less hps as a monk--a little shortsword from Umar Hills eventually saved the day)

Chaotic Good Human Wizard Slayer... I´ve played for 8 months and still haven´t quite finished it, could not imagine doing this again..

Neutral Good Human Fighter

I've always stuck with humans so far since I like their ability to be able to join any class at the start of the game. it also helps out more with dualing later on in the game to have a wider range of classes to dual to

The first character I played who beat SOA+TOB was my LG Cavalier. Very fun game and remains my favourite class/kit.

My first trip I beat it with a Monk. I think I had a supporting cast of Anomen, Minsc, Keldorn, Imoen and Aerie. What fun, being a noobie to the game and not knowing squat about what kind of power I could have wielded. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Human Fighter..lol.
Next race/class was a Half-Elf Sorcerer..then an Elf Swashbuckler

Right now i'm working on a Human Kensai/Mage.
