I would Pyrenk, but I don't have any experience in the scripting area. Try asking Six or Icelus.

I've made a few items for private play, including
Two-handed sword +2: Tyr's Balance Worshippers of Tyr believe in honorable combat, and the cleric-smiths of the faith designed their weapons for a similar purpose. This hand-crafted sword was gifted to the squire paladin Rochelie du Chaux to teach her that a strong offense does not always balance out a poor defense. STATISTICS: Combat Abilities: faster speed factor, wielder suffers a -1 AC penalty Damage: 1D10+2 Damage type: slashing Weight: 15 Speed Factor: 5 Proficiency Type: Two Handed sword Type: 2-handed Requires: 14 Strength Usable By: Rochelie (Still fixing some things on this one. IEEP doesn't understand the -1 AC bit.) -------- Wakizashi +2: Lunar Blade Wakizashi +2: Solar Blade Taki Aizawa recieved these blades from her mentor, Shuukaku Buun, shortly before her disappearance from the monastery. The blades' abilities seem somewhat familiar to her, yet she does not question their loyalty and sharp wit in the heat of battle. STATISTICS Damage: 1D8+2, +2 fire damage (Solar Blade) or +2 ice damage (Lunar Blade) Damage type: piercing Weight: 3 Speed Factor: 3 Proficiency Type: Scimitar/Wakizashi/Ninja-To Type: 1-handed Requires: 5 Strength Usable By: Aizawa -------- Eskah's Beaded Necklace Hand-crafted from special hollowed glass, each bead stores enough spell components to create a high-level magic missile blast. However, once a bead is used for its magical contents, it shatters. (42 charges) Usable by: Eskah -------- Eskah's Applejack There's something about a hat that makes people groovy. Eskah is no exception. She claims that just wearing the floppy cloth pocket on her head makes anyone tilt their head in wonder, or puzzlement at least. Wonder or not, this hat is one righteous piece of headgear. Special: +1 CHA bonus, immune to stoneskin, protects against critical hits Usable by: Eskah -------- Anomen's Vambraces Did Rochelie really strap on the wrong arm guards by mistake? You decide. Special: wearer is under a permanent Luck spell -------- This post has been a shameless plug for Umar Hills

I think its something to do with balance. I seem to remember that word from my youth.

That doesn't give me any satisfaction, Gangrell
The Statue's Blade (Katana +3) This blade was created by the lich, Arronax, to aid his guard in preventing victims from escaping. Already a potent blade, it's power was increased greatly with the enchantment placed on it. Arronax had a problem with aiming his spells, and spent all of his spare time practicing. The blade turned anyone it came in contact with into stone, and the resulting statues were of great use to the lich. Little did he know, target practice would become the end of him. He had studied his missle spells to such an extent that all of his defensive spells were forgotten. A wandering Blade unknowingly entered the tomb, and found that he had less trouble with this lich than any other. His mastery of aim amazed Arronax, who put up no resistance. The katana became proof of the deed, and made for an interesting tavern tale, as well. (Bad description, I know. I told you, I can't create these things ![]() Combat Abilities: Strength of Stone chance whenever sword strikes an opponent (5% chance of Flesh to Stone and Slow on target, no save. Target's strength will be increased to 25.)-Just for fun. Damage: 1D10+3 Damage type: slashing Weight: 15 Speed Factor: 0 Proficiency Type: Katana Type: 2-handed Requires: 15 Strength Not Usable By: Druid Cleric Mage Questions: 1. The sword is intentionally two-handed. How difficult would this be to script? (Katana image, two-handed). 2. Is it balanced? 3. Do you get exp for killing stoned enemies? ****************Happy, Gangrell? All posts not relating to the topic have been deleted. [ 08-24-2003, 03:12 PM: Message edited by: Pyrenk ]

1. The sword can be easily classified as a katana, but the paper doll will not resemble one, just as a regular two-handed sword.
2. I would change the chances from 5% to 15% at least, but having slow effected onto the target when they're turned to stone isn't really needed. 3. Yes. As for the strength score, say that when the the target is turned to stone, their life energy is drained (so to speak) and will boost your strength 3 points for 4 rounds. This will not be cumulative. |

2. I meant that there is a 5% chance for either FtS and Slow, not both at the same time. About the Str thing-it was a way to balance the weapon; if the weapon Slows the target instead of Stoning it, the target's strength will become 25. It's stupid, but it does balance it a little ![]()

Wouldn't be a good idea Pyrenk. Even if some of the enemies are slowed, would you really want some of them to have a 25 (god) strength?
