Small nit about protection from magic scrolls.

Maybe I am just lucky, but, I have had a few as random drops.

Once I got one from a goblin or an orc or something in the Windspear Hills.

Damn, that IS lucky. I've gotten random drops of every kind of Protection scroll EXCEPT Magic. (I have been lucky with Wizard scrolls though: My latest find was a Mordy's Sword off of a Grimwarder--so now Nalia can barely cast 2 Level 5 spells, and she already knows one of the best Level 7 spells.)

Slight nitpick. (Minor) Spell Turning will not counter Imprisonment.

This is the full list,

Berserker Rage
Spell Reflection
Spell Trap
Spell Immunity:Abjuration
Shield of the Archons
Protection from Magic Scroll

Are you sure it was a Pro-Magic scroll? I also thought i found an unidentified scroll of Pro-Magic as a random loot. Imagine my disappointment when i identified it, only to see that it's a damn Cursed Scroll of Petrification with a confusing look! Cursed indeed...

Quite sure it was Protection from Magic. I used it later in my battle against Kangaxx.

Although I do have a question.

I was going through Jon's Funhouse when a goblin dropped what looked like a longsword +1. When I IDed it, it was Vascona, longsword +2. You know, the one from BG1 that does cold damage? I was not even aware this sword was in game. What are the odds of this happening? A bug? Just plain weirdness? I scratched my head over this one for a long time. Do goblins have some small remote chance to drop a piece or two of your old equipment?

This must be the wierdest bug i've ever heard of... Varscona isn't supposed to drop as random loot. A Mac-Only bug, perhaps?

Equip the sword. Go to the records screen. If your jaw drops in amazment, you just got Araknis' sword as a random loot.

No, it's not that deadly. It's just a plain +2 with one point of cold damage, no instakill features or anything.

There are some bugs Mac side.

That is Weird. Only Catti-Brie is supposed to have THAT sword. Did you ever test it? Just wondering if it were the Easter Egg version of the sword. You know, the one that deals like thousands of points of damage. Dont know why it would be that though, since i thought you could only get it via shadow keeper or CLUA.

Edit: Damn, there was a second page. Thnx to it, this has already been posted.

Does Arkanis have this particular killsword. i seem to recall that he has a modified version of the Sword of Backstabbing. I once edited him to not have the kill sword, and then had him come after me so i could kill him. didnt work, he wouldnt die. oh well.

Damn it, i just remembered the topic and what i meant to post originally. so here is a cheesy "tactic" for Deirex. when you first enter his little tower, you can immidietly pause the game and put youre PC to attack Deirex. Ive killed him this way with a mage using a sling. took a while, but he fell eventually. for some reason he didnt send me to Jarlaxle until he died. Ive done killed him this way the first few times i played, but dont use this "tactic" anymore, since its very cheesey. as in goat cheese cheesey and so on.
