Sorry to hear about your ulcer and car troubles but congrats on a successful fundraiser! I would have donated [maybe next time?] but I have similar problems.

I have some idea about stomach pain as I have had acid reflux since I was a teenager. I get the worst heartburn imaginable sometimes and most of the time I have at least a minor heartburn.

We were down to only one vehicle, my truck, which was in perfect condition and was the most reliable and useful thing I owned. Then some #@#(*$%^# kid in a humongous F350 Super duty truck decided to dive into on coming traffic from the turning lane just as we were speeding merrily along across a busy intersection because our light had just changed to green.

Needless to say this kid's truck obviously bought for him by his rich parents sustained minor damage while my itty bitty lil ol sky blue mint condition 1988 Ford Ranger was sent to little truck heaven, totaled. Well, it isn't really beyond repair but it might as well be as it would cost more than I payed for it to fix it and far more than I can afford right now.

The cop said it was obviously the kids fault and there were like a hundred witnesses all around us. But guess what? The rich kid's daddy went and "talked" to the cop [in the universal language of bribery no doubt] and the cop actually added to the official statement he gave saying he made a mistake! I never knew they could even do that! But apparently they can and did. And so now there is nothing we can do about it. Now I know why they called pigs, dirty greedy bastards.

Fortunately we were able to borrow a car from friends and have now found a super cheap junker car to get around in until I can save up for another real vehicle.

Sorry for the rant folks. Get well soon Ziroc.

Thanks for the congrats ya'll! Last week I had wicked bad heartburn all the time and I think it was my nerves due his impending birth.

yeah, he's a big guy. I'm hoping for a hoops player rather than pigskinner though.
