It's good to have a forum for both FRUA and DC users (e.g. to attract designers and programmers). However, it might also become confusing again. Back in the old days when Manikus had his own forum, I was sometimes not able to remember what I had posted in which forum...

![]() ![]() "Memories...like the corners of my mind" ![]() There is already someone who has done that with the new forum and the FRUA list. ![]() ![]() Unlike my forums (now that I have a site that I pay for, I was going to set up new ones, but no longer feel the need to), the new forums should remain up so that we can easily check. I imagine there are some folks that will just use one or the other, so I'll be on both. ![]() ![]() |

Well, hello everyone. Looks like I finally made it in here.
I'm glad you're enjoying the new forums, and I'm happy to do anything to help the DC project (providing I have the time). The point of providing a DC section to the new FRUA board was to try to bring the two closer together. I find it odd that two programs that are so closely related are treated as separate from each other. I'm pushing for DC to get finished, and trying to energize the UA community is probably the first step toward making that happen. This will probably sound horrible of me, but I feel the UA mailing list has been dead for a long time. The FRUA forums were desperately needed to bring some life-support back into the community. Whether it works in the end will only be proven over time. With any luck, it will...and it will be beneficial to DC as well. I'd love to see some of the UA authors doing mods in DC eventually. |

I don't know that I'd say the UA list was dead, it's more like a bunch of friends talking about their glory days on the high school football team.
Now, the DC list, that is dead. The only reason I post stuff there as well as here is so that Paul, Steve McDonald and CocosSpud can see them, as they don't come here for various reasons. (Steve had the problem of joining but not being able to post only PM and it didn't get resolved by Ziroc, at least in a timely enough manner). I'm very glad to bring the DC gang back "home" so to speak. ![]() |

I think it was a great idea to make an FRUA forum - the mail list did seem inactive, after all... a forum is great to add oomph to the community
![]() Also, welcome here, too! ![]()
