I think that I will do a little web comic as either spinoff or introduction for the design I am working on. This will also probably allow me (and here, the circle closes) to use my "rejects"...

There are lots of comics in the US that are not with the big three. I happen to live in the same town as Dark Horse comics. There are lots of small cool projects. You just won't be a millionaaire (until you sell the movie rights.)

I know of a couple of folks doing web comics that make a decent amount of money, but it's through the ads and I know that some people don't like having their work associated with ads...so I guess you couldn't really make any money that way.

A (convincing in terms of length, graphics and gameplay) design in DC is (in my oppinon) much more effort than doing a - let's say 32 pages - web comic (at least if you make your own graphics). Thus, if one is motivated to do a DC design, he may as well be motivated to make a web comic without making money...

Maybe we should all be working on web comics?

Hmm, I'm going to seriously think about this while I should be working. I mean, think about this while I am working.

Well, we could recycle our art into cheesy web comics

For example, we could take our icons, blow them up, and just give them speech boxes... Or we could use small pics without blowing them up, but most of us have less of these...

The best way to sue the icons would be to reduce them to 256 colors before blowing them up so that the pixels essentially get larger so that we could keep that old FRUA/DC feel and still retain some semblance of respect for our work. We could just do the same with combat wilds and dungeons if we needed back grounds.

I want to do this! But, I have no time and after this evening will be back in hiding until probably December 4th or so..

Ha ha... What have I done?!?! (Just kidding, looking forward to anything you conjure up )

I had all the ideas for this sort of thing before, actually - but nothing ever materialized!

Well - if we use icons, that gives us 2 poses (at least)... then we can do stupid things like make eyes bigger or add exclamation marks to show reactions...
