Actually, jesters can be rather munchkiny if you play them right. I heard this strat elsewhere. Song+invis+walk into a swarm of baddies. Be patient, they'll all kill eachother. though I don't know how the xp works

I just hate Blade and Avenger.

My least favorite kits are:
1. Shapeshifter: no armor at all...even in werewolf form you can't achieve a decent AC...any fighter can have a better THAC0 than a werewolf, and any other druid can wear at least a studded leather armor. 2. Beastmaster: it sucks. He gains bonuses against enemies rarely seen in BG2. 3. Blade: no song improvement and any warrior can fight better than him. In my opinion, a Skald is much better - bards are singers, and their songs must be their strong suit. |

one thing that the blade got going for them is that they get the improved song and that overrides the default song, and its the same as the improved song that the skade gets. *shungs*
ive played archers and theyre lots of fun to play. right now i'm playing a solo clerc/mage and i have lots of spells at my disportal and i rarely ever need to rest cause well i can wear helm and shields which rocks! heh my clerc/mage has an -6 ac unbuffered and with crappy chapter 1-2 gears, wait untill he's in tob with some of those sweet shields, and elven chain etc.. robe of vecona, etc.. don't forget about buffing spells. oh one thing i noticed about the barbarian is that their resistance stacks with the hardness, you get 40% resistance to all melee damage in hardness then add on top the barbarn's natural resistance, i think that totals up to 90% resistance, well now try to hurt that dude if your slashing attacks are doing only 10% their damage. |

Skalds rule in SoA, but Blades get the last laugh in ToB.
Woohoo! Go Blades! |
