Hi. I will be 45 in a little less then a month. I have liked games since they came out on atrie (sorry I can't spell..*sigh*) rember pong, and forget the name, the stick man swinging from the fine and jumpoing over ponds? lol I am an only child and as a kid never had anyone to play games with, even cards, soo...I got into vidio and computer games. I love role playing but not often the real heavey ones. I am more into myst and zelda on natendo. there were some milder role playing games on sega years back I liked. love WW tho.
I have been married 23 years, our only child, a daughter, is 20 and my husband is 55 going on 56 and had a stroke when he was 43. I am the only one in my family into games, be it computer or board games. (wish they were into magic, etc. *sigh*) Nice to know I am not alone.

Sounds like you are probably thinking of Pitfall!
Good old Pitfall harry.. as a bit of boring trivia, Pitfall II was one of the first Atari games to ever actually feature an "ending" and a goal beyond points! wheee!

I'll imagine any of you would get a big kick out of www.classicgaming.com .. it's one of my favorite stops, and includes all of the "old" computer/gaming systems.. from the TI99-4/a to the NES, etc.. worth a look!

Oh, YES! I played Dungeon Master on my Amiga 2000HD (which I still have, BTW) Did you ever play the sequel to it - 'Chaos Strikes Back'? I don't recall if that ever came out for the ST.

As a piece of trivia, Dungeon Master was *the* first 1st-person/real-time CRPG ever.

Hi have posted on the general discussion as well. I am 66 and female and have been playing CRPGs since having my first computer a C64. Got really hooked on all the Bards tale! Am playing W&W with Baldersgate 2 sitting on the shelf for me to play next. I am retired now so have lots more time to play. Tho still can stay up until 3 or 4 am when on a roll!!
Cheers Maggy

Hawkwind: I did play Chaos Strikes Back, but didn't enjoy it as much as Dungeonmaster. I particularly liked the spell that helped you find your way by putting footprints on the floor. Gotta big kick out of that one when I first cast it.

Welcome to the Forum Maggy!

I hope you are enjoying W&W!

Staying up until 3 and 4 a.m. playing on the PC...ah that brings back (recent) memories! Duties require that I be up at 7 (at least) every morning since just last month...still adjusting to that thing they call "morning" LOL!

Welcome Maggie!!!

Wow - staying up late to play - I remember doing that! Can't do that these days but maybe sometime in my future I will have that luxury again!
