The signal to me is political cowardice. Every TV station has been saying "support our guys (and some "bring them home" after the first part ) and not releasing a movie because of that. Well I´m sure Hollywood would call it marketing.

Guess will have to just wait and see if it ever comes out. Wanted to highlight this.

I don't see the big deal. How many people are in the military? to expect them all to be behaved is pathetic at best. You will have criminals, druggies, and worse just like any other workplace. You can not weed out all the scum.

I have heard more then one story of heroine Johnny or Rapist Bob who had to get put down by his own company because he cracked. All by my father who was there.

We have to remember they make movies to make money. If they do not think people are going to go see it then that is there choice. No one has a obligation to go watch something they deem a waste of time. I don't watch movies to be bored to tears about some loser peddling drug's.. military or not.

It just tell's me Miramax can not support what they produce.

"Part of the decision to hold the film until July 25 also was prompted by the availability of star Phoenix. The actor is currently filming the firefighter drama "Ladder 49" and would not have been available to conduct television and print interviews for "Buffalo Soldiers" until early July, the studio said."

I am sure made they choice easier but they should have known that ahead of time.
