After reading the numerous arguments and opinions heretofore, I find myself in agreement with Dragonshadow.

A few reasons for my decision..

1. I have never attacked a kobald without provocation.
2. I have yet to meet ANY adventurer of ANY race that hasn't been attacked (without provocation I might add) by a kobald or group thereof.
3. Out of the hundreds if not thousands of kobalds I myself have encountered, there has been one and ONLY one, that has not attacked.
4. Judging from my own travels, kobalds seem to be among the more populous races of faerun.

And finally..

5. Regardless of motive, any attack resulting in death that is NOT self defense driven is murder. Even in our own fine civilization this carries heavy consequences, and the instigator is nearly always hunted down. Why should this be any different for kobalds?

So, my friends, I will handle it thusly..

If a kobald shows decency and does not attack me on sight...
He/She will be allowed to live, and walk away unscathed.

For those that do attack, and those that are truly evil in nature...
I will PERSONALLY see their heads on pikes.

As a side note Dragonshadow..
If such a grand creature as a bronze dragon can stomach the company of a half-elf such as myself, I would be honored to hunt by your side.

Also, if you look at it, A kobold Village is very similar to a human city, which I'll point out.
1. Both the village and the city have some sort of leader, corrupt or not.
2. The city and village both have a militia/warriors ready for defence
3. Usually the human city and village has a magical authority in it, whether it be Cowled Wizards in Athkatla, or a shaman in a kobold village.
4. Both the village and City have children, women and elders
5. If neighboring city is raided by orcs or some other nation, the city will send an army/help to recover the city or send adventurers for revenge. The same is of the Kobold village, which would send some help to a neighboring Kobold Village.
6. Both the Human city and Kobold village send adventurers for various reasons, whether vengence, greed or other things.
7. When studying the language the language that Kobolds speak, I have found, with some help, that Kobolds typically speak draconic.
8. The average human citizen usually don't care what happens outside of the city so long it doesn't mess up trade, and thus are extremely gullible and predjudice. The same is basically true of Kobolds, but more of a Nievete, plus that they are easy to push around.

There are many others I could think of, but that is not needed. Throughout this meeting, some have expressed their hatred of kobolds because they have been used by evil wizards, which would have killed them and thus pressured them into service. But if you look at the Clerics and Paladins of the human city, they basically tell the citizens what is good, what is bad, how to act and how to think. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised that if Drizzt the drow entered the average city by himself and didn't announce himself, the citizens would have him tied to a stake ready to barbeque.

As to the vote, I say yeah to introducing them to human society. I also say that I will defend myself if attacked, but I am not going to intentionally find a kobold village where they are most likely to attack based upon past incidents.

Also, referring to an above comment...
I highly doubt that kobalds speak draconic.

I'll defer to Dragonshadow on this point, but
I have never once heard a dragon "yip."

Well I must say that I'm not inclined to finding a kobold village and burning it to the ground, but when I meet a party of kobolds, and only one tries to raise his bow -he is a toast!

I heard it from a reliable source... It may not be perfect draconic but I'm sure a dragon could understand them... and if that doesn't work, write "We come In peace, unless you attack us" in draconic in large letters.

(The players handbook, go to skills, speak language and in the table, of languages, it has a column of typical speakers, which says that a typical speaker of draconic is Dragons, Lizardfolk, troglodytes and the yipping Kobolds.)
