"Have you got your eye on anyone?" he asked with a grin, then chuckled, nestling against her. Alae knew him well enough by now to know he was teasing her.

"No I don't have my eye on anyone." Alae chuckled, "And if anything happened to us, our father would take rule temporarily until someone was found. I know he hates ruling anything besdies his mountain. But he is wise, and would do a good job."

Arlyth laughed aloud "Well, as long as it is not me!" For a moment Alae wasn't quite sure which comment he was refering to - the one about finding a spouse, or ruling the kingdom. He offered no explanation, but snuggled closer to her, his hand finding both of hers, and placing her hands on him, one on his back, the other on his neck and shoulders.
