Calaethis shook his head, "No, no I shall not see them. A word with you, Lady Verloren? Please? In private?" Verloren turned around, surprise clearly showing on her features. Closing the door softly, she asked him What is it Calaethis?" he replied "You brought me back - your responsible for me now; I am... surprised; you have not shackled me or something - I can change form and leave should I choose to - but... I have nowhere left to go... and I give you my word, if it means anything, that I won't leave without your permission, nor attempt to take my own life." Calaethis looked up at her, and begged, "If I am to atone for... my previous transgrations, then... perhaps... you would take me under your wing, so to speak. Please do not make me stay so close to Alliene..." dropping his eyes he asked, "Do you require some sort of oath from me? Or is my word, worth anything anymore?" sighing he asked, "...may I wear clothes that indict my rank? Or would you have me wear the rags of a surf? I am... unsure how you wish to punish me... I expect that if I step out of line or disobey you, however slight, you'll thrash me." he paused "Please, once you let me sleep on the floor of your room - perhaps, it would be best to sleep at the foot of your bed again, then you could keep an eye on me, until you deem that I am... trustworthy again... if ever." he smiled slightly, "Any loyalty to Alliene I had, is yours now..." he knelt and dropped his head, "Mistress" he was placing himself in her hand, literally, and placing his trust in her.

ic:Khal was sat on his bed, telling Damion stories of how he'd stolen gold from a dragon, which was real big, and beaten it back with a stick, then how he'd taken this real heavy shield, and dragged it all the way to a waterfall, without the owner catching him, then he jumped off the waterfall, and swam away without being harmed.
Obviously Khal's boasts were not true.
As Skye entered the two boys looked up, and Khal immediately rushed over,
'Aww, Skye, you have a puppy! Where'd you find him? What's he called?'
Full of questions about Skye's new pet, Khalraan stroked the little dog's back.

Sylquis having decided she'd kept an eye on her tutor long enough - since she was back up and about - and gone to meet Lord Avalon, headed back to Skye's room - arriving there, she found Khalraan, Damion, Skye... and a creature... she drew back fearfully. Her time spend in the underdark had given her cause to fear many creatures, spiders in particular. She gasped in disbelief as Khalraan touched the thing...

ic:Khalraan looked up as Sylquisitae entered the room, and continued to stroke the puppy, seeing that Sylquis had stepped back from the little dog with fear, he was confused.
'What's wrong Sylquis?' Khal questioned her, not knowing the girl's fear of animals such like the dog.
Seeing she was truthfully scared of the puppy, Khalraan motioned for her to sit on his bed, as he held the animal back. Khal went over, and sat beside her cross legged, leaving Skye and Damion to play with Skye's new pet.
'It won't harm you, it's cute really, and soft and fluffy.'

Sylquis stood up, and walked over to the window. She looked out of it. "Go away, Khalraan. I don't want to talk to you." her voice was sharp. She spun around to face him, and glared as his eyes had followed her; she was wearing tight fitting breeches, her tunic reaching her mid thigh. She was angry with him. "I came to see if Tyra was here - she isn't. I don't ever want you to talk to me, pseudo-elf." blushing furiously, she left the room, leaving the others in bewilderment.

Although his place beneath the tree was within a few feet of the direct sunlight, the humidity managed to counterbalance the former mentioned. Opening his eyes, the perspiration that had gathered at his brow flowed down and drained into them. Raising his hands to wipe the excess away, he noticed the scar from the day before. Its jagged form reminded him of his attempt to escape, and refurbished his desire to do so.

"Ka ussta zuneerrh zhah folbol dos shlubnaut belbau," he said with a glance to Alliene, "T'yin zhah gaer natha i'dol usstan xal nez ol dal dos?"

He nudged at the collar and awaited his captor's response.

Translations: Ka ussta zuneerrh zhah folbol dos shlubnaut belbau (If my freedom is something you cannot give) ... T'yin zhah gaer natha i'dol usstan xal nez ol dal dos (Then is there a way I may win it from you?)

'What do you mean you don't want to talk to me? What did I do wrong?'
Seeing the girl was upset, he changed his tone to a softer, calmer voice.
'What's wrong, Sylquis? Whatever I did, I didn't mean it.'
Khal tried to comfort her, and he would've hugged the young elf, had he not been afraid she would snap at him.

You thieve's arn't to be trusted!" before she could finish, she turned away and walked off a couple of steps, she spun around to face him "You lying bastard!" she covered her mouth with her hand, and took it off, "You did mean it you pervert! You spy! Tyra told me what you did when she told me to stay away from you! I hate you!" she burst into tears and leant against the wall. Burying her head in her arms.

'I am sorry, really I am, I didn't realise you were in there when I went in, and I locked the door behind me, had I tried to go out again, you would've heard me,'
Lifting Sylquis' chin so he could look her in the eye, Khalraan said,
'I am truly sorry Sylquisitae, will you please forgive me, I've just never seen anyone as pretty as you before, I don't want you to hate me, but I suppose I deserve it.'
Stepping back with tears in his eyes, Khal let his words hang in the air.

"You lying pig!" she snapped, "The bathroom doesn't have an outer door! You must have crept in though another room to get to it! I should slap you!" she cried harder, "Don't touch me! Ever! You hands are filth!" she turned her back on him and sobbed. "You spied on me! I thought you were different! You didn't realise I was in there! But when you saw I was - you didn't mind watching, did you?! I hate you!" her voice was muffled, and Khalraan could only just make out her words. "You eyes... oggling at me; and staring as you drool... your sick! I feel violated!" she sobbed harder.
