It's a whole lot closer to the 'tolerant and loving religion' than the other, but like *all* religions, INCLUDING Christianity, is subject to fanaticism and interpretation. This is something we need to keep in mind. Read the Bible and you can find at least one contradiction for every other line (it would seem) or differing interpretation which is then used to justify action xx despite the admonishment of book y, line z.

The Taliban is an extremely radical fundamentalist faction of Islam, *not* mainstream Islam. And they will never 'give up' their cash cow, bin Laden.

Correct me if I'm confused, but I seem to recall it being reported on the news that the idea of Jesse Jackson representing a negotiation parlay *was* suggested and he said he was in no way interested. I won't argue with those points. They belong to your belief system and as such should not be 1) discussed (ie debated) and/or 2) pressed on those to whom they may not apply.
