Alliene held her cousin close as Verloren stood up with Slyquis in her arms,
"I'll let you 2 get some rest," the half-elf smiled and picked her way over to Avalon, who was leaning against a rock and watching the trees with sharp eyes. He turned his attention from the surroundings to Verloren as she drew near however, a smile blooming on his handsome face,
"Good evening, my half-elven delight," he peered at the elf in her arms, "Stealing children again I see? I thought I had broken you from that habit!"
"Very funny," Verloren laughed and sat down with him, cradling the elf girl in her lap, and brushing stray peices of hair. Avalon watched her with interest,
"You seem very fond of that child,"
"Yes...I think it may be time for one of my own..."
A loud grunting noise came from Avalon as the dragon choked in surprise, "You...you can't be serious. Why?" he demanded softly so as not to wake the girl.
"It is time I thought about securing my kingdom with an heir," she fixed him with a serious look.
Avalon merely stared back, the hair reminicent of his fin wavering, "And I.."
"Would be the father,"
"Ah...we would need..."
"A potion or spell so that it is possible for us to have children, yes, I know all of that,"
Avalon paled and hunched his shoulders in defeat, "Well, if it is your wish...I will not refuse you," he said finally and actually squeaked in surprise as Verloren grabbed his ears and hauled him down for a kiss,
"You don't know how happy that makes me," she whispered in draconian, her lips lightly brushing his, "I love you so much, Avalon,"
The dragons ears heated against her hands but he reached over and touched her cheek, "And I love you,"
It had been too long since she had heard those words from him. Shifting Slyquis, Verloren snuggled into Avalon's arms and pulled the elf with her. She moved her cloak so it covered the 2 of them and dropped her head onto Avalon's shoulder, feeling the pressure on her head as he rested his forehead on the top of hers. They were going to start a family together. It was all verloren could have ever wished for.

Sylquis stirred slightly in her sleep, and feeling the blanket covering her, snuggled up closer to Verloren sighing contentedly, and slept peacefully, feeling safe and utterly content.

Calaethis released his cousin, and quietly asked "Shall we talk, cousin? Or do you want me to turn in - and tommorow we can set off for Amn..."

Alliene stared up at the bright stars,
"We can speak, if that is what you want. As for Amn, I will go with you as far as the gates, and then I am going to find Shar's temple. Alone," she said with emphasis, "You will proceed to the Government district, I believe Verloren has an estate there. When I am finished I will use a dimension door to reach you there. Amn is not a city that repects those of different skin color,"

Calaethis looked up at her, shocked at the fierceness of her tone, "As you command cousin, so shall I obey" he intoned formally, without a hint of mockery. Then he bowed his head, defering to her, "Do you have any more instructions, Cousin?" the word instructions could have very well be replaced with "orders".

Alliene's cold eyes snapped from the stars to her cousin,
"Only that you keep yourself out of trouble, if that is not too much to ask," she rubbed her temples with the tips of her fingers and muttered one of the few curses in sea-elvish(they are a docile race). Stretching, she looked back up at the stars with a sigh, "You have not spoken to Kaltia much since we resurrected her; have your feelings for her changed?"

Calaethis looked his cousin straight in the eye, "Yes... and no. It... is hard to explain - I still care about her - but... ...I do not know myself... and... I do not feel ready for a... you were right cousin, I was, am to young. Forgive me?" His eyes and tone was pleading. He sat down by her feet, and leant against her, he was tired, and wanted to sleep. "Alliene, I won't betray your trust in me a third time - at least... not for a while yes, I won't get into any trouble on purpose Ali, promise" his use of his childhood name for her would usually make her smile... he held out his arms and whispered "I'm so tired, may I sleep beside you tonight - if your going to be gone for a while?"

Erm...I'm sure I have before...and then again I'm not sure..I really don't know. Thinking of his past,which Aeris could hardly remember for some reason,only brought up images of his older brother,Malar. Skye,have you ever had someone that was very close to you?Someone who is as close to you as Calaethis and Alliene are? Aeris' voiced started to waver. He loved his brother so dearly.He just wished that he had'nt gone and died for him....

"Hmmm," Alliene accepted her cousin's arms and pulled him forward towards her in a warm embrace, "You do not need to worry about betraying my trust with Kaltia again...I trust her and her actions. But when you are ready, it is your choice to make," she made herself comfortable on Zach's warm scales, one arm folded behind her head so she could continue looking at the sky, and one around her cousin.

Skye's smile wavered slightly, as she glanced at Aeris. "You mean family wise?" she asked inquisitively. She sighed, then grinned half heartedly at him. "Can't really help you there... I never had a family." She shrugged, trying to make light of the situation. "Hard to miss someone you've never met... but sometimes that hurts even more than knowing someone and having them leave," she looked at Aeris with a somewhat confused expression. "You know what I mean? It's like that question that you always hear, 'is it more painful to have loved and lost, or to have never loved at all'." Skye shook her head, then looked at him with a sad smile. "Well, I think you know what my opinion is. But if you mean in general..." she quickly changed subjects, her wistful smile appearing again, "Then yes, I have someone very close to me. Unfortunately, a while back we parted ways. Maybe we'll meet up again, someday," she said, more to herself then to Aeris. Shaking her head again, she looked at Aeris questioningly. "Why did you ask me this?"
