If nothing happens soon for the Candle team, I am sending in the beasties. I need to. It is vital to keep you guys busy with something. I shall hope that Legolas can post before I attempt to kill you guys.

Much as I'd love to give you all more time to watch the man on horseback, size him up and fully prepare for any fighting ahead (and believe you me, I can wait for a very long time before deciding you've had time aplenty already), it seems I get to save your lives at least this once by posting now rather than later.
You'll thank me one day

Just a heads-up that from now on, I will only be able to check in on IW during night-time (morning to the U.S. folks and afternoon to the Europeans), and only when I am not completely zonked out after work.

So, my response time will not be as fast as the rest would like and if this proves a problem, I'll gladly drop my more active characters and instead make the occasional post on other plot developments (to be discussed with Larry ). We'll see how it goes

That was a close call for the Candle Team. You guys did not realize that a brown dragon was at your feet, did ya? Well...I guess that will be the first and last time you will ever say to yourself, thank god that blue dragon was there!

For anyone that wants some background on Dragon types, read up on my last post. You might find it interesting. =)

Chromatics are typical colors, like Larry's Blue and Brown dragons. Also White, Black, Red, and Green, I think. Correct me if i'm wrong on DnD standards.

FYI>>>
Game time is now 11pm at night.
It is very dark, and for those that are saavy on adventuring, you know that the scariest creatures lurk in the night, on the prowl for food. However, with Arcades in his true form as a Golden Ancient...not much will attempt that meal unless it is stupid or near god-like.

"Wise, Wise, Wise sir Rodie,
when dragons reared their fearsome heads
he bravely turned his tail and fled.

Wise Sir Rodie turned about,
so gallantly he chickened out,
bravely taking to his feet
he beat a very brave retreat.

The blue and brown can fight all night
for we shall flee in awesome fright,
To see the sun rise is our goal
and not be fried to chunks of coal."
LMAO! That is priceless! Well done, sir Bard!

"Very true," the learned bard adds, "but there are also less well known colors, of which the brown is one, as well as yellows, deep, shadow, and on the side of good there are mercury, steel, and electrum. As well as Fang Dragons, dragon turtles, Jade, Gem, the Norse Linnorms, Pearl, Brine (like the loch ness monster if it were a dragon type) Moonstone, Prismatic, The Albino Wyrm (A flightless underdark variant), and Amber cover most of the variations, needless to say most of these are neutrally disposed towards men, and at worst, see us as livestock, much as the evil chromatics."

Amen to that. I'd hate to see the critter that would want to take food from a Ancient Gold Dragon.

And Woo hoo on my latest upgrade to Magister =)
