Aeris fell to the ground. He smiled. I went easy on you like you asked. You're just losing your touch little brother. Malar chuckled to himself. Aeris frowned and looked back to Tyra. Very good Tyra. Calaethis would be proud. I'm sure of it. Aeris stood up and looked at his brother. Excuse me Tyra. I need to speak to my brother in private. He walked over to Malar and whispered so quietly in his ear that Malar could barely even hear it. She is not going to have to face you in battle and beat you is she? Like everyone else? Malar knodded with a firm looked on his face. She will train for a few weeks-about 2 or 3. Then she will face me and beat me. It is the only way for her to complete her training.

Tyra waited until they'd finished talking. "Excuse me lord Aeris, perhaps a rematch? Not go easy on me this time? Please? You owe me a couple of bruises now... if you'd like I mean?" she smiled at him.

Question Mark

Aeris turned from Malar. Bruises? I owe you no bruises my lady. It is not polite to strike a lady...Even if it IS sparring. But if this what you wish then so be it. Aeris smiled at her and took the defensive stance and waiting for her to start.

Tyra gave Aeris a smile, "Thank you, my lord, you really are a gentleman." with that she attacked with an overhead blow, followed by a fast sweep, and then a diagonal attack from the ends, before a thrust at Aeris's belly, and another overhead. She was getting quite good with it for a beginer.

Aeris blocked the overhead and took offense. He made quick jabs with the quarterstaff. He made and overhead blow followed by trip up that failed. With another sweep, Tyra took out Aeris legs, just as his staff decended to her throat and hers at his ribs - both collasped in a heap, and Malar laughing said I think thats enough - I'd call that a draw - were this real, you'd both be dead" Aeris knodded as much as he could. He pulled his staff back as did Tyra. "You never were very good with a staff, little brother. Perhaps the lady should face you when you hold a blade?"

Tyra smiled, and rose to her feet more quickly then Aeris did; using her staff, she offered him a helping hand. Pulling him to his feet, she smiled, "Well fought! If you'd like, I'll face you against your favoured weapon?"

Aeris smiled back at Tyra, 'Very well, lets see how you do against a blade eh?' he winked at her, and Malar smiled and said in his best tutoring voice "Yes, it would be good for you to face a varity of weapons Tyra, after all, not all of them will be armed with staffs - and you little brother - it'll be good for you to get in some practise against a staff. Tyra , you have chose well to use a quaterstaff since most enemies underestimate it's power. You are skilled in fighting. I have never seen a pupil do so well on their first day. I'm sure you will be great in whatever profession you choose. Malar smiled. Aeris had walked off to the armoury and had returned with a longsword. Are you ready Tyra? I will go easy on you since this is my favored weapon.

Tyra smiled, and attacked by swinging both tip, one after the other at Aeris; then using the staff's longer reach tried a long sweep at his legs.

Aeris jumped back. He did'nt have the heart to strike with his blade. He made blows that he knew she could block. He did'nt want to hurt her. He took the defensive again, allowing her to attack.

Tyra backed up, and placed her staff in one hand, one tip on the ground, the other in the air. "Aeris!" she snapped, "There is no point in this if you do not attack!" she assumed guard postion again, and allowed him to take the offensive.
