Alliene regarded the elf with a tilted head before she gestured to the grass next to her,
"Wait child, your presence may help calm him, he is not asleep. Come, you should know by now Zachana doesn't bite," an audible snort was heard from above and Alliene made a half smile.

"Yes Lady Alliene," Sylquis spoke, and curtsied again, before gracefully seating herself beside Lady Alliene. "My Lady..." she eyed Zach nervously, "How will my presence help? I'm... only a slave, forgive me, servant." She was still unacustomed to her freedom. Calaethis buried his head deeper into his cousin's lap, "Don't make me lose face cousin, please! Not in front of her!" his words were muffled and unintelligible, but both elves seemed to hear him, Sylquis drew in a deep breath, and tears rolled down her eyes "If that is how you feel my Lord, I shall leave, good night..." she started to rise, but Calaethis rose faster then she did and embraced her, then whispered in her ear, loud enough for Alliene to hear, "I'm sorry Sylquis, really, I didn't mean to upset you, please hush, calm down, please? I just... I didn't want you to see me like this, please understand?" she nodded and wiped her tears away. Firmly Calaethis had her sit down again, and shot a pleading look at his cousin, silently asking her to embrace the girl. He sat down, with his head bowed, not wanting to see either of them.

Alliene crinkled her nose slightly. Verloren was the one who was good with kids, not her. She sighed grundgingly to herself and put an arm around the elf girl, rubbing her shoulder vigorously enough to make Slyquis stare at her. Fortunatley Verloren had come over to investigate and saw Alliene's face. Laughing silently, she scooped up the eolven girl and sat down with her,
"Don't you worry now," Verloren's voice chimed, "just sit here and be calm," she smoothed the elf's hair with a smile.

Sylquis nodded, and did as Lady Verloren bade her. She looked up at the elder half-elf, and leant her, content to be held and rocked by her. She wasn't as scary as Lady Alliene...

Calaethis shot a half grateful look at Verloren, half of it was... confusion. For his part, he leant against his cousin, and whispered, "Why are you all doing this? Why should you all care?" his voice was confused, as were his eyes. The tears had all but vanished, but his face was still tearstreaked - thankfully the night hid that, but he was sure Alliene could still see...

Aeris sat there , bored. His eyes scanned the area and they met Skye. He stood up and walked over to her. Hello Skye.You know,we really never got to know each other when we first met.Remember? I just thought we could talk sence there's nothing else to do. So have you ever been to Amn?

Alliene glanced at Verloren and Slyquis, then spoke to Calaethis in drow,
"Because, you are one of the few family members I have left. Theres just you, my father, and my grand parents, who will not be around for many more years. I am not around my sea-elven kin as much as I would like, so I get time to spend and care for you. Though it shamed my drow heritage to see your actions today, the rest of me was so worried...as for the others, I'm sure their reasons differ from mine, but they are here for you nonetheless," she gave his shoulders an affectionate squeeze.

Calaethis hugged his cousin, "No matter what," he whispered, "I will always love you Alliene, always... even.. even when I was ready to fight you, I still loved you... even then..." his voice trembled, and he embraced her tightly, after a while he looked up, and glanced at Verloren, "And you sister of my cousin? Why do you do this for me? Why do you comfort me, despite the fact I insult you...?"

Verloren's eyebrows shot up,
"Insult me do you?" she winked, "I am used to putting up with insults from your like, young man. And you are my sister's cousin, like family, I would do anything for you," she reached over and ruffled his hair.

"My kind?!" he said spluttering indignatly, mock of course. On impulse, he took her hand, and pressed it to his cheek. He couldn't hug her because Sylquis was already sat on her lap. His voice was warm, as he whispered "Thank you, sister of my cousin.. that means a lot to me..." he broke off as fresh tears ran down his cheeks, tears of happiness this time, he turned and accepted his cousin's embrace.

Sylquis, with her head on Lady Verloren's breast, closed her eyes and dozed lightly, she was exceedingly tired, and had been fraught with fright from the dragon flight, fatigued, she slept softly, fully trusting Lady Verloren to take care of her. She was so nice, she thought. Calaethis was lucky to have her - even as addopted family. She nessled against Lady Verloren and snuggled down, shifting until she found a more comfortable postion.
