"What now?" she muttered to herself. She laid a hand on Isan and looked back at Illek in question. She wasn't really in the mood to be bothered, by anyone or anything.

GRIG"Pretty elves! Are you going to dance some more? It would make me glad. I am sad, now. My friend was killed. Black, ugly things killed her. Notlike elves. You will protect me?"

Verloren's face tightened, "I am sorry, but we cannot dance tonight. What is this about black beasties killing your friend? They weren't drow were they? I'd be happy to dispose of them for you," her lips formed into a wicked smile.

GRIG "Drow? No, they are like dark clouds..." (Shreiks) "They are here!!!"

*(Three Shasdow Fiends break into the light of the flames. Illek draws his sword and slashes at the leader.)*

Verloren growled and launched herself at the shadow behind the leader, driving both swords into its shoulder. It cried out in pain and slashed her face, leaving bloody trails across her cheek. With a roar of pained rage, Verloren masacered the fiend and lept over to the next.

ILLEK (He slashes through the fiend's cloak, cleaving the undead flesh beneath, with a howl the thing disappears into notheingness. He whirls and joins Verloren in the attack on the third.)

Not even noticing that Illek had joined her, Verloren shoved Isak into an already open wound on the fiend. The electric shock caused the beast to utter a horrible shreak, and it fell to the ground, thrashing. She backed away, her hand trembling. She reached up and touched the claw marks on her face, and she made an odd face, "Amin anta est..." and she collapsed in a senseless heap.

ILLEK (He rushes to Verloren's side, after making sure the thing is truly dead. Feeling for a pulse at her throat, he is reassured to find it slow but steady. He reaches into his knapsack, and takes out a small silver flask. Careful not to waste any, he puts a drop merely on the tip of his index finger, and places it between her slightly parted pale lips onto her tongue. This is a Heal potion, which also cures poison.)

Her eyes snapped open, still a dull red. She quickly grabbed his shoulders and threw him to the ground in a strong pin. Her senses returned to her suddenly, and she released him immediatley," Oh Illek, I'm so sorry...I was confused..." she put her face in her hands. Notcing her scares were gone, she looked back up at him, her eyes glistening, their normal soft brown color, "Thank you. I suggest we move to a safer place..." her eyes traveled to the river on their left, but remember he couldn't breathe water. She exhaled heavily and stared at the ground.

ILLEK (Arises and dusts himself off) "Never you mind, Princess. Yes, we should get a move on. I do not know if she sent those things, but it is better safe than sorry." (They pack up and move to a new campsite, a couple of miles down the river. Since they dare not light another fire, they wrap them selves in their cloaks and sip some brandy before they rest.)
