Jena raised her arms above her head and stretched deeply. Watching Kyr, Jena seemed to be at a loss for words. How would the little pixie react to her when she spoke? There was so much she wanted to ask, and she did not know where to begin or if she should even bother. She didn't want to come across as needy, dependant, or scary. And Jena certainly didn't want the little pixie to feel as though she was jealous or intimidating or that she was intruding on her master. "Good morning, Kyr. How are you feeling this morning? I trust you are better than yesterday evening? Forgive my abruptness, dear pixie, but my belly is grumbling and I must find some breakfast." Jena hated to be rude, but she didn't want to be greedy being the only one with food. Tossing her bow over her shoulder, Jena made sure she had everything she needed. Heck, she didn't need her cloak today, despite the threat of rain. She didn't mind getting a little wet. Stepping from the tent, Jena's long brown hair fell in wavy ringlets down her bosom. Her crystal blue eyes danced as she greeted each member of the party. "Good morning everyone. Forgive my brief disappearance, I shall return shortly."

Disappearing into the wilderness, Jena moved silently amongst the trees until she spotted her target. The rain did not stop or delay her. She did, in fact, enjoy this kind of weather. Despite what anyone said, it was perfect. Withdrawing her bow, she placed an arrow inside. Aiming carefully, she released the arrow, watching in satisfaction as the beast howled it's final sound. Smiling, she walked over to where it lay, threw the carcass over her shoulder, and headed back to camp.

Smiling, Jena chuckled as she plopped the kill down near a fire pit. Her hair, face, and body now soaking wet, Jena moved towards her companions. "Hello all, I'm back. I hope everyone likes boar. Perhaps the rain will taper off so it can be roasted. If not, I guess it'll have to be eaten raw." Maybe now she'd have a chance to get to know her traveling companions a little better.

Able Typhonious 21/21

Able, getting a little tired of the others including this new person chose to shuffle his feet and stare at them for a long period of time. After taking a few steps in one direction he paused for a moment. He looked at the others to see if they noticed him stop abruptly and to see if they were examining him. Their attention seemed focused on the newcommer so he knealt down and began running one of his hands over the soil.

"Yes thank you, lady Jena,” the little pixie replied happily, her usual cheerful tone back in place, her voice beautiful and more melodic – and higher – then an elf’s. Frowning, the little creature nodded, and flew to the girl’s side when she mentioned she was going to go get breakfast.

When Jena returned, Aeriah nodded in greeting to her – and respectfully to her kill, and asked, “No, I think not…, I’m sure someone here has a spell to create fire, and if not, I’ll use an alchemist’s potion.”

Able Typhonious 21/21

Able after a while of examining the soil wakled over to the others with a big grin on his face. He was muttering things to himself through his grinning teeth. "It was pulling a cart... and its leg snapped... the brain and kidneys were the first to be subjected to it... the remnants of the cart have worn away with time, but the frame's intact..." He then realized he was thinking outloud and shut up. He looked and saw that they were contemplating how to start a fire. As if naturally he pressed the palms of his hands together and seperated them. In between his flatened hands now sat a small box-looking object which was rectangular in proportion. It looked metalic with a tiny cut around the top. He pulled the top off and it made a tiny mechanical sound. Moving parts became exposed along with what appeared to be a vent-like nozzle the type of whihc you'd see on a stove but tiny. A tiny flame burst forth from the nozzle for a few seconds and then it shot off. After making sure that at least a few people noticed this display he put the cap back on and held it out. "Fire in a can... want it?"

OOC: hope you don't mind me posting something for the day before we went to bed.

IC:
Verrion Sieg 24/24

"Yes. There is something about him that tells me that he isn't bad or corrupt, just that he uses what he can to survive. Attacking the lizards was weird, and wrong. I will have a talk with him in the morning, there's something I want to know about him." Verrion told Drusalia just before turning in himself.
The next morning, Verrion came up to Artelm after his talk with Aeriah. "Artelm, good morning! I meant to talk to you about yesterday's bout with the lizards."

Drusalia 22/22

Satisfied with the answer Verrion gave her Drusalia lay down on her cloak and then draped the remainder about her. Within a few minutes she was asleep. The night luckily passed without any incidents and in the morning Drusalia woke to Verrion's voice as he started talking to Artelm. She sat up and brought the cloak off of herself. Looking around she saw that she was the last to awake. She looked around and saw Able holding an object which looked like a box in his hands. Drusalia got up and walked over to Aeriah and Jena who seemed to be having a conversation.

"Good morning! Did I miss anything, while I slept?"

Jena 36/36

"Ahh...good morning Drusalia, sleepy head! We were getting ready to prepare breakfast. I hope you slept well?"

Jena's eyes beamed when she saw Able's fire. Flashing him a warm smile, Jena prepared the boar. "Thank you, Able. That was very kind of you.

While the meat cooked, Jena turned towards her companions.

"I, like you all, am curious as to why your memories are gone. Sometimes I wish I could erase certain memories of my own....but it's hard for me to imagine why anyone would want to cause memory loss for everyone else. Perhaps a bitter agenda or a hostile enemy was the cause."

Jena paused briefly. She had a fear...of these companions she was getting to know..changing after discovering their memories. Would someone betray the group? Would they change? Would Aeriah change? She certainly hoped not. She was beginning to....ahh but that was silly. He's an elf...and she is completely human. That just did not happen...at least not back home. Shaking herself, as if trying to wake herself from a dream, Jena focused her attention back to the group.

Drusalia 22/22

"Yes I did sleep well, thank you for asking. How was your first night in this, for you, new world?"

OOC: Not at all to questions about posting for the night before.
---

Aeriah sighed deeply in answer to Jena, “My lady, that is the one question that has troubled me throughout this entire… quest. It has not eluded me for a single moment, a single night and plagues me constantly. There is something within the depths of my mind… which wonders, if perhaps, we are not better off this way. A chance for a new beginning; a new change… are we so right to go back to the ‘old ways’? What if… there are too many ‘what ifs’.” the young elf sighed, closing his eyes, “And I do not like it. For all we know, we could be in the middle of a racial war between humans and elves, or gnomes and dwarves, or… there could be many, many un-pleasantries that are best forgotten. We could have cast this upon ourselves. It could be a blessing, or a curse, punishment or …we could have done this to ourselves. I do not know and it troubles me. Part of me… does not want to go back to what I might have been. I… like the way I am now. I might have been a tyrannical warlord in my ‘past life’, or a slayer of children, or a saint of renowned, or even a common farmer. My point is, we don’t know and maybe it is for the best. Not all knowledge is good knowledge, and not all knowledge is worth knowing… but, I would rather that I had the choice to decide my own fate, and when the time comes, I will decide if this knowledge – these past memories – are worth knowing. At least, for me. Until that time, I shall continue to think, ponder, and draw no conclusions until the moment I have to choose, but I shall search for that choice and for answers.”

This was the longest speech Jena had ever heard Aeriah make, and it betrayed that he was far more thoughtful, philosophical then first anticipated. So far, only Drusalia had heard Aeriah’s doubts, but now he spoke them for all to hear – if any wished to.

“More then that,” Aeriah added, “What if we were engaged in prior relationships? What if…” shaking his head, he sighed, “No, it is useless dwelling on such thoughts…”

"You think too much,” Kyr retorted tartly, If you were so evil, you would not have had me as your familiar, friend and companion.”

“Unless I had enslaved you and bonded you against your will…”

"Oh stop that! You know you didn’t! I know you didn’t, so stop brooding! You’ll scare the girl!” cheekily, the pixie leant in close, and whispered in Aeriah’s ear, loudly enough just for Jena to hear, but not the others.

At this, Aeriah, surprisingly, turned pale, and a slow flush rose to his cheeks, “Shh, you! You know that I’m not… or… handsom- or…” he scowled at her, obviously not amused as she exploded in gales of laughter.

"Oh Aeriah, you’re so fun to tease…” winking at Jena, she added deviously, her expression mischievous, "And its all the more funny, because its true!”

Aeriah declined to comment.

Able Typhonious 21/21

"We could sit around and question the reasons why our memories are gone, or we could do what we're doing right now and figure out something about it. I am a man of knowledge, and knowledge is not something to be thought of as a selfish thing. Right now knowledge is exactly what we haven't got. I can feel inside me ideas and designs for things which I do not recognize or know. These devices could be known by all or they could be the keys to imrpoving society. For that alone I would strive to get back what I obviously no longer have." This too was the most able had spoken up on the matter in a long time. He paused but rather than awaiting a response he uncomfortably interjected, "And I'm sure everyone here has something clinging to their thoughts, making them question who or what we are, why we're here. These are things which can either be discovered or contemplated. Contemplating isn't leading to any progress, though." Able heaved a sigh and looked at the fire-making box. He closed his eyes and narrowed his brow and opened them again and saw it was gone. He appeared to be slightly taken aback by this.
