In the back, sitting on the floor with his arms crossed, Storm stiffled a snicker.

"And I used to think that I was the nieve one."

He looked over at Orrick and waited for whatever.

Mistral

Gradually, she had willed herself into a familiar breathing pattern. In... out... in... out... and her mind seemed to be free from the terrifying thoughts that had plagued her recently, at least for the moment. Probably because she was now left alone in this dingy room.

Lying upon the bed, she closed her weary eyes and decided to take a little gamble. Before long, she had dozed off and a strangely peaceful smile was upon her dry, cracked lips.

ooc- aww, but then who's my char going to talk to? the vampyres dont like her

ic- Gwynne removed her ear from the door to the meeting. She had come to late to get in, but she figured they wouldn't mind her listening in on them. If they had, they would've dealt with her when they first sensed her presence through the wall.

She walked off, humming snatches of devil's trill to herself absentmindedly while she mulled over what she had overheard. What's the importance of the diary... she thought, a crease forming between her drawn eyebrows. Gwynne could feel a headache coming on.

*BLAM!* "Itai!!*" Gwynne rubbed her forehead and glared at the door barring her way. Without realizing it, she had unconciously been drawn to where the female mortal was being held. Looking around her, Gwynne slowly eased the door open, her eyebrows quirking slightly in surprise at the unlocked lock on the door**.Rushed, she thought to herself.

Once inside, the ghoul closed the door with a soft click and looked around at the decadence of the room. Gwynne's eyes were drawn to the pitiful, dirty thing that seemed to be sleeping somewhat peacefully on Bakilas' bed. Unable to resist the urge, she approached the bed and lowered herself to an alert sitting position next to the bed, her eyes never leaving the human's relaxed face. Resting her arms and head on the bed, she continued to peer at the sleeping figure, watching over her.

ooc- *an expression of pain or surprise
**I hope no one minds my... creativeness

ooc no problem with me Skie, have fun with it.

IC: Orrick looked at the assembled Bakilas, "I wouldn't do that if I were you, from several other journals of "hunters" they remain conscious and aware of being fed from, unlike normal humans, they also find it quite painful, and from the rumor's I heard from one of my kinfolk, their blood not only tastes like ash, but causes your own blood to turn to water. I'm not sure if this is a common power, but we do not survive night to night by rashly ignoring the fact that pissing off humans can lead us to the final death.

"It seems that many of these vampire hunters also have semi-frequent hallucinations, his would be amusing if they didn't make the hunters start yelling about what we are, necessitating disposal and clean-up."

You ask why you should stay here, it is true that there is no current threat to you, other than the standard risks that come with being one of us, but I have a proposition, I will owe each of you that perform another task for me a favor, to be decided on now or later. I shouldn't need to remind you that having the connections I do, a favor from me could be worth more than any amount of money, although if that is the favor you desire, it can be granted, one fellow I made the same offer to wanted a World War Two era German Panzer tank with 100 rounds of main gun amunition,"

Bakilas thinks for a moment before replying, "Very well, I am willing to listen to what you have to say. But I guarantee nothing."

Thalali listened closely as Orric made his proposition. I'll listen to what you have to say, but I can't promise to do anything.

Mistral

As her eyelids finally fluttered open, she gave a huge yawn, lazily stretching out her four limbs and rolling her head from side to side slowly, as if she had arisen from a deep, long-awaited slumber. Yawning again, she smiled rather goofily, thankful that at last she was once more invigorated.

Yet there was no way she should ignore the stench and stuffiness of the room, which bombarded her nostrils most annoyingly. Snapping back to attention, she glanced about and dismay fled to her distressed eyes as she realised that the hellish adventure was not a dream after all. She seemed to be permanently trapped in this horrific nightmare!

Whatever it is, at least I did catch some sleep. This would have to comfort her for now, even as she surveyed the female across the room who was exchanging looks with herself.

"Who are you?" Yes, it was no time to make pleasantries. Sometimes, being direct was the best way to approach strangers...

Gwynne flinched unconsciously. She had been staring so long at the human that she hadn't realised that the delicate creature had woken up and was now staring at her hard, distress and stubborness flaring up in her eyes. She clambered up onto the bed, slowly as not to alarm the girl. Once seated she crossed her legs and leant her weight forward on her straightened arms placed between her folded legs.

"Who am I? ...My name is Gwynne. As to what I am..." she paused as she flashed her eyes away from the human's face, "I'm merely a ghoul... not good enough to be a vampyre or a human, an outcast of both. Looked down upon by one, hunted by the other." Her gaze drifted back to the human's face.

"What is your name?" she inquired, politely. "And if you're worried about me biting you, don't be. I'm not very well equipped for it." she grimaced, flashing her barely sharp eyeteeth in the human's direction. Gwynne hoped this laid some of the girl's fears to rest. "If you want, you can take a shower and freshen up... I have a room around here somewhere, I haven't been in it yet..." she trailed off, looking at the human again with a thoughtful expression. "I can order food for you too, if you're hungry."

ooc- hehe, 1337 posts... l337... hehe.... if I never post again, you know why
