Graciously smiling warmly, Aeriah bowed again and murmured, “My thanks, my lady. You are generous to say so.”
Kyr looked up, smiled shyly, rubbed her little eyes with balled fists and left Fai’s side, darting over to her master, her translucent wings carrying her with ease but flapping faster then a humming bird’s. Without another sound, the small creature jumped onto Aeriah’s pack, opened up the flap, ducked in, closed it and snuggled down and settled into sleep. Sighing, Aeriah muttered “I apologise, usually she is far more cheerful. I do not know what’s gotten into her today. In regards to your question, yes, we no longer possess memories beyond three weeks ago. We seek to regain them, and discover the reason why we were stripped of them. An elven village, you say?” The elf frowned again, his brow narrowed in concentration, “You wear the guise of a human; have you any elven blood within you? I cannot understand why elves would take in a human without cause.” Shrugging, he added, “Not that I doubt you; it is just… well. I do not know if such things happened here, it just strikes me as odd, that is all. As it is, we’re heading towards the mountains.” Glancing at the others, the elf shrugged, “Shall we continue, or do we have reason to linger here longer? I suggest we make camp soon… we are all weary and could use rest, I suspect…” |

Fairioni 20/26 "I have to agree, Kyr's normally cheerful.. I think it might have something to do with that shock." Fairioni muses before she chimes in with Aeriah "It could be they took her in to care for her. " she says thoughtfully and responds "I agree, we could all use the rest" [ 11-24-2004, 03:11 PM: Message edited by: Saliarasri ] |

“Yes, but not here...” muttered the elf.
Assuming the party wish to move out, and continue following their present path, they eventually come to a clearing, with a nearby brook. It is easy enough for them to make camp, and as dusk falls, the sky turns darker, with stormclouds looming on the twilight horzion in the direction of the mountain. It looks like tomorrow will be a rainy day. |

Jena 36/36
Jena nodded her head in agreement. “Pausing to rest would be great. The teleportation has worn me out and it seems, by the looks of things that poor Kyr is also in need of rest. I can only imagine the adventures all of you have encountered thus far. Aeriah, I am not of elven blood. My story is a long one. Perhaps I shall speak to you of my past another time.” Jena glanced briefly at her other companions, noticing that Artelm, Verrion nor Able had spoken a word to her. More than likely they were preoccupied with their own affairs. It must be quite disheartening to wake up to find one’s memory gone. Silently, Jena began searching for a place to rest her sleepy head. Glancing at Jena, Aeriah frowned and asked “Have you no tent to sleep in?”
Frowning, the elf sighed, "I see you do not... you can share or use mine, if you wish." With a slight smile, Aeriah added, "I'll take first watch anyway. Or, if you want, you could share a tent with Fai." |

Jena blushed slightly. "How silly of me to come unprepared! I am not sure how Fai feels about sharing a tent...with someone she hardly knows. I'm afraid until we reach the next town or merchant that I will have to take you up on that offer...A girl certainly can't sleep outside...and judging by how the sky appears I won't want to be caught bare in the storm." Aeriah was so kind..and friendly. He sort of reminded her of the male elves back home. Jena realized that she packed carelessly...no dagger to protect her during the night...no supplies save for her quiver of arrows and longbow, no tent...frustrated, she yawned and turned to follow Aeriah.

Drusalia 22/22
Drusalia walked over to the smallish brook and washed her hands and face in it, all the time thinking about the fight earlier, and the new addition to the party. Still deep in her thoughts she walked over to where Verrion was standing. She spoke in a soft voice, while looking at Artelm. "Artelm has been acting strangely, don't you think? I still can't figure out why he had attacked the two non-hostile lizards. Don't you think someone should have a chat with him? He never talks much to us and he might be in difficulty fitting in." Drusalia sat down on a rock and yawned. "I am tired now, so unless you talk to him I say we postpone this for tomorrow. What do you think of Jena? I find it extremely interesting that she still has her memories. The oak earlier told us that those who are behind this still have their memories. Yet I am inclined to believe Jena's story." - said Drusalia while taking out her cloak from her backpack. She put it on the ground and then sat down on it, draping half of it over her legs. She looked at the clouds on the horizon. "I hope those clouds don't get here before the morning." Drusalia looked with her brown eyes at Verrion, waiting for him to reply to her questions. Aeriah helped the girl Jena settle in, covered her with his own blanket, giving her his bedroll, smiled and bid her goodnight, before stepping outside to take first watch. As elves only needed four hours of rest, he did not need to sleep for as long as the humans, who tended to need eight on average.
~~~ The night came and passed, bringing with it, the breaking dawn, and large, grey, looming clouds, heavy with rain. Jena awoke to discover Aeriah in their tent, sitting crossed legged, apparently meditating. As she opened her eyes, the elf smiled and bade her good morning, offered her his waterskin and stepped outside to allow her to change in privacy. Aeriah managed to be very proper and polite, whilst maintaining a friendly, almost considerate attitude towards the girl – almost as though, he were somehow responsible for her. Kyr still slept within ‘her’ pack, but yawned as Jena awoke and crawled out of the bag. Smiling sleepily at the girl, the little pixie stretched and began to strip, changing in front of her and not for the world caring in the slightest. When she was finished, she pulled out her own tiny waterskin and drank her fill, today garbed in a light, flowing, silvery almost mist-like dress that reached her knees. Watching the girl, she waited for her to speak first. ~~~ As the others awoke, they woke to the damp smell of chilly fog, damp grass underfoot, and a fine misty haze as the cloud shed their tiny raindrops, drifting down upon the still air, lighter then tears. Everyone slept peacefully and were well rested by the time morning came. --- OOC: I’ll let you guys decide what to do – be it interact or continue walking. |
Fairioni 26/26 Fairioni sits out side after putting over a heavy garment, sitting outside and her face alight in happiness - she evidently likes mist - idly turning her quarterstaff. |
Artelm 16/18
Artelm looked quite surprised when he saw another appear...apparently through some portal. He listened to her story, as much as she would tell of it anyway, and decided that it would be interesting to find out more about her, but later...for the day was taking its toll on the halfling. As night fell all went to bed except Aeriah, who decided to take first watch. Artelm couldn't help himself but take a quick peak at the belongings of his fellow tentmates, his inquisitive nature taking over. He was careful not to take anything though, and didn't actually touch anything, just looked at the backpacks, wondering what he could get if he turned back now. He saw sense though, and goodness flushed through him...it wasn't good to steal from companions, and so he quickly went to sleep, taking care not to be seen... As morning dawned and Artelm woke, he decided this would be a day of strengthining his realtions; well, what relations he had. "Morning Aeriah, did you have a good rest? How is the pixie doing? Has she recovered from her strop?" [ 11-25-2004, 06:59 PM: Message edited by: RoSs_bg2_rox ] |
